Good info on the axel shifting…
Hey my man, I got the same Denali. So what I’m curious of is going down the header route, I know what size I want and all that but how was installation ? Was it a pain and a half ? I’m coming from the Honda world so those were so so simple to modify. I just wanna know how difficult it would be for LongTube installation. Thanks my man
It wasn’t too bad. Seeing how I put headers on my Tahoe and they are the same vehicle. A 2wd would be easier since there isn’t a front driveshaft and it can kind of get in the way. But other than that not too bad. I did both by myself in my driveway.
I know this is an old video but what were the symptoms besides worn bushing? I have a noise driving me nuts and ive replaced everything but those because i barely found this video and ordered those bushings.
@@amj42489able I didn’t really have any symptoms. I got under it and saw how old and cracked they were and I planned on putting a lift on it so I wanted to get rid of those so that I wouldn’t have any kind of suspension issues after it was lifted
@THEEVERYTHINGTHINGCHANNEL ahhh well I have a mystery noise under the seat and when I turn it pops sometimes. Seen forum say that those were the issue. Guess ill find out. If not least it's changed lol.
@amj42489able it’s a possibility. But I didn’t personally have those issues. The Tahoe was coming up on 25 years old so it was time
I have the same setup lol

And yeah the amps go out on these often. Also water goes inside the car messing up electrical components. The drains in the roof gets clogged up making water go inside and cost $ to unclog.

Got a 2013 3.5 ecoboost awd mks. Never any engine or trans issues with it other than spark plugs I had to replace at 70k miles. Now it has 100k and engine and trans are smooth. Be glad you don't have a moon roof. Mine is currently broken, it won't close and dealer is asking $2k to fix
Just to change the moon roof motor...
@@awakenedone7577 got rid of the car earlier in the year, not a concern anymore
your video literally comes up for how to change the oil in a truck so maybe you should've talked about it dumb ass bitch
I’ve been wanting to get one of these for a couple of years. I’m afraid of the water pump and the capacitive touch panel but I still want one. One with the wood pkg, the elite pkg and the light interior.
@@Travis25601 it’s something to think about. That’s a few of the reasons I got rid of mine. It had close to 90,000 on it and didn’t want to deal with the PTU or the water pump and I hate the infotainment system in it.
@ yeah… it would be a low mileage one that would be the secondary car and not counted on as “the” daily driver. It’s a bit much. It’s just the thing is… from the first time I saw those light interior models with the premium wood pkg… those particular ones make my heart race for some reason. The interior looks like Bentleys from the same time. Ultimately we’re thinking on a Continental with the 2.7 on account of the base 3.7 water pump design and $1K difference in the repair bill. We’re waiting out the interest rates and conditions to get a bit better before getting into a contract. Cars have become more of a financial instrument for crooks than they are transportation. None of them even advertise quality like they did when I was growing up in the 80’s & 90’s… I’ve learned to make decisions on cars with all of that in mind.
As far as the leveling kit make sure you get a front end alignment done
@@billjensen6216 not my first leveling kit I did but thanks for the input.
@THEEVERYTHINGTHINGCHANNEL I didn't figure it was your first time. But there are those people out there who think it's as simple as throwing the parts on and calling it good. I used to install lift kits at a shop, and we had customers that would come back 6 months later and complain about tires going bad. Mainly because they didn't want to pay for an alignment at the time. And never got it done. Lol, I'm sure you have experienced customers like that. But that's $90 bucks I can save now and do later. Lol
Yeah I agree, plus I don’t have the truck anymore lol it’s someone else’s issue now

Why is this bushing style so hard to find information on? I can barely find the delco part number without putting in effort. Like this weld in style wasn't common because all the guys I talk to including the Suburban/Tahoe groups they are like just cut the rivets. Which I have to explain I don't have rivets so then people stop responding. I even link the dorman part for them to see it's only weld in option. Parts stores don't even list the bushings separately. GMT800 and GMT900 are supposed to be the same frame so maybe an 07+ crossmember would bolt in and have the slider adjustment on the crossmember instead?
@@CSX692 I found the bushings on rock auto, but found they were annoying to put in and not worth the time, so then I found the poly bushings in my video after looking it up on the forums. The 2500 and 3500 trucks use bolt in styles. Not sure why the 1500 suvs and trucks use weld in/ riveted style.
@@CSX692 but that’s why I made a video about it, I couldn’t find a video at all anywhere. Only one forum post and that’s it.
@THEEVERYTHINGTHINGCHANNEL appreciate the video. I link it to everyone I try to explain because nobody seems to believe me that they are weld in. I found the part number before here after a lot of digging. It's just odd that it's not on any big box stores web pages. I like the idea of the energy but not sure how yours went smooth and others had to wallow out the hole to get that 1/4" they're talking about. I can't be down for more than a few hours at a buddy's house to get this done so trying to get my shit straight.
@CSX692 your more than welcome. Most of the videos I make are because I can’t find the info I need so I make it myself to help others.
Is this applicable for a 2006 2wd Tahoe? Also this kit contains bushes for both sides?
Yes it does. Has bushings and sleeves for driver and passenger side. All tahoes of that generation have the same front suspension.

Walmart Super Tech full synthetic oil has all the same letters and numbers as Mobil and it’s API approved. About $21.00 for five quart jug. Don’t believe the hype of oil. Pretty bottles fancy designs and logos. I change my oil and filter when I can’t see my oil dip stick level lines through the oil. Fifty five years of doing it this way and never ever had an engine fail. But hey what do I know. 😁
Hi, I was wondering if your truck drones while driving on the hwy and if so what speed?
I can’t remember, that was 2 years ago and that trucks long gone.
I wish this is how my Silverado Was setup. It’s still not too hard to get the old mounts out (when they’re broken) just 4 rivets to pop and one big bolt on each. But getting the new mount in is impossible without actually removing the torsion bars and dropping the torsion bar crossmember. I believe this may be a Z71 only issue, but there is a large tubular frame support that is right next to the torsion bar mounts around the middle of the truck and it doesn’t give you any room to slide the mount in past it. Very aggravating to need to perform so much work for something that should be so Simple.
Very informative
Thank you for the information what is the tire size you are running on the 24's
It’s in one of the videos I posted about the Yukon.
My friend so often do i have to change the oil on my ram 2019? Thanks

Man, Yukon Denali’s are so sick. I always want to sell my Tahoe for one.
You’d be buying the same SUV twice. Only difference is the AWD system and the 6.0. Not much more different. But they look better to me
@@Anythingautomotive it would be solely for the looks. I think they look awesome. 6.0 is just icing on the cake. Nice Denali’s are selling for a premium in my area so I doubt I’ll make the swap. Escalade’s are temping though. They seem to be considerably cheaper than Denali’s even with the 6.0 and awd.
@@KAS470 which is weird because the Escalades are the more expensive of the 3 if it was bought new. I payed $6000 for mine. Just gotta look for the right deal. It took me a while to find mine and it was 20 minutes away from me.

i’m having trouble getting the old bushings out, when you punch out all the notches should it start moving and what way did you have to hit them out?
You can hit them out on either side, but I hit them out facing the front of the vehicle since I have more room that way. And yeah it should start moving once you start hitting them.

So you decided to keep the car from Carvana!!
That’s what it looks like
Buying a car from the virtual vending machine doesn't let you kick the tires or anything else. A buddy of mine is working on the software but the whole idea basically SUXS.
If you go and get the car from there, you can look the car over before doing anything. You don’t even have to leave with it if you don’t want it. I did it with the MKZ that’s on my channel.
I recently bought an 03 Yukon Denali that had 24" tires and rims. They basically sucked, rubbed, and a stick went through a sidewall. How can I tell if it has been lowered. Seems very little clearance now that I have GMC 17" rims and tires on it. One thing I've found is the rear shocks have scrape/rub grooves on them and I'm lost on trying fix or replace the shocks. The other thing going on is steering binds some times left and others right. I'd thought it the oversize tires but still doing it with std size rims and tires. The spare tire unlock is frozen too but that is ez enough to drill out. Do you still have yours? Got mine from Antonio who drives a double dumper semi and leases overnight storage on Piercy or his cousin. ESL became unclear when I talked to the cousin at his tire shop near pick-n-pull on Berryessa.
The 24 is on my Yukon never rubbed or scraped or anything because they were based on factory OEM wheels so they had the right dimensions they were just 24’s, as far as telling how it’s lowered I can’t help you unless I saw the Yukon in person. If the steering binds then you need to look at all the steering components to see if they are worn out or not.
And I’m not sure if I have my spare tire carrier or not, I can’t remember if I took it to the scrap yard or not. I’ll have to look later when I’m home
Can you drive an awd around on dry pavement without any major problems
I'm looking to buy an 09 awd yukon denali should I buy it even if it doesn't snow we're I live?
@jasontaylor8433 my Yukon was an 03 and was AWD and it very rarely if ever snows in Georgia. Just know there’s most cost in owning an AWD vs a RWD. More parts to fix if they fail and gas mileage isn’t the same. So I can’t make that decision for you tbh. That’s something you have to decide
There much of a difference in MPG without it? I am loving my Canyon but in stock form it annoys me that it sits like a stink bug with its tail in the air. I installed a leveling kit in the front to help but that air dam makes it look more like a crossover when parked next to a Tacoma.
I never really payed attention to be honest. I only took it off for the looks and ground clearance. Im sure there videos out there about it.
@@Anythingautomotive thanks! I'm looking into removing it and putting a front skid plate, mostly for looks but I want my truck to look more like a truck.
