ఆర్ ఎం పి అంటే రిజిస్టర్డ్ మెడికల్ ప్రాక్టీషనర్ అని పార్లమెంటు చట్టాలు మరియు ఎన్ తో ఎం సి రూల్స్ చెబుతున్నాయి. ఆర్.ఎం.పి డాక్టర్ అని చెప్పుకోవాలంటే కచ్చితంగా చట్టం కింద ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లో అయితే ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ మెడికల్ కౌన్సిల్లో రిజిస్టర్ అయి సర్టిఫికెట్ పొంది ఉండాలి. తెలంగాణలో అయితే తెలంగాణ స్టేట్ మెడికల్ కౌన్సిల్లో రిజిస్టర్ సర్టిఫికెట్ పొంది ఉండాలి. ప్రతి డాక్టర్కు ఒక ప్రత్యేక గుర్తింపు ఇస్తారు. కౌన్సిల్ వారు ఎంబిబిఎస్ డాక్టర్లకు మాత్రమే సర్టిఫికెట్ ఇస్తారు.

As per the Parliament Acts and NMC Rules, Registered Medical Practitioner ( RMP) is an MBBS graduate, who is Registered with the Govt established State Medical COuncils, Eg, Andhra Pradesh Medical Council in ANdhra Pradesh, Telangana State Medical Council in Telangana etc. The Word Medical means Allopathy or Modern Scientific Medicine. Medical Practitioner means MBBS dr who treats with medicines, surgeries, methods, procedures as taught in MBBS course. MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
