Do the clamps pose the risk of "correcting" the part if it's technically out of spec?
There need the press to fix the parts.So there is some shape change,but the customer could accept this.
@@Alldongguanmanufacturers Are you concerned about the shape of the part or the size of the holes? If you and the customer are not concerned about the shape of the part then you are spending too much unnecessary time setting up the fixture with unnecessary clamps; you could check the holes in much less time. If you are concerned about the shape of the part then you should 3D print a female-sided "cavity" of the part with pins on one axis and pin-gauges used on the 2nd axis of holes -- drop it in without clamps and check if the holes line up. Furthermore, you have nothing on the fixture that ensures that the inspector will use the clamps. No electronic red-light/green-light, lock or unlock, or otherwise. If your inspector is in a hurry, how do you know they use all the clamps instead of just throwing the part on the fixture and jamming the pin-gauges in the holes?
@@jawoo2228 The gauge is simulating the datum for critical position,and then use the clamp to hold the part.We make a checking fixture to fasten the checking course.And nobody could ensure the operator to use to clamp,but if the operator could not follow the operation guide of checking fixtures,this is a issue for the part company QC ,or us.At the same time,to fix the part first and then check is the base idea.If you have other good idea ,you could tell us.And the whole course of checking ,did not take so longer time.If you want fast,use a gig of holding fixture,and with the scan machine.
