This is the encore featuring Yo La Tengo and Wilco at the Metro in Chicago, March 24th 2023. This is my video taken the front row just left of center. I think it came out pretty well. This was one of the best sounding shows I’ve ever been to in my life, had me speechless at times like a dork. The encore was just a plus 😜. Recordings will never capture how good Yo La Tengo sounds live.

When you're that close to the stage, as I was in the front row, nobody around you can hear you when you sing anyway. The noise blocks that all out. The problem is that the phone mics pick it up. That might have even been me, I can't remember. Whoever it was, having fun at a rock and roll show is not a crime, so it's no big deal. they're not thinking "Oh I better shut up because this is going to wind up on RUclips and some guy who hates Chicago is going to be ragging on my voice later." I'd rather people sing along then be talking through shows. At the wilco show the other night, we had a couple of constant yeppers behind me during a bunch of quieter Wilco songs and we had to yell at them to shut up. That really grinds my gears.
@@AaronJakobsons why in the hell were you singing at all? Are you 12 years old? 14? No one wants to hear it bro, period end of story. Maybe somebody else got video of this where somebody is not singing along like a 12 year old at a Taylor Swift show...
