I’ve always observed how impeccably dressed interior designers are, I think often more so than fashion designers.

You are a very smart, highly educated young man and cultured. It shows your warm sensibility and appreciation for fine living with historical, anecdotal pieces of furniture, art, accesories etc, etc. Even the way you dressed very regal and elegant. Too bad that none of your chimneys work so you were so whimsical and used them for storage in a nice way.

So many beautiful and interesting objects in this cozy home that look so well together! I loved the feeling of being immersed in history and beauty of things that are well made. The apartment feels like a quiet but welcoming refuge.

No warmth or continuity in design. She’s African American but there’s nothing throughout the house that points to that. I expected to see a middle aged Englishman surrounded by his family heirlooms. Hopefully she learns to develop her central style aesthetic. Right now she’s doing too much without a focused lens. The dress is lovely and so is her personality; but the only nod to her Southern heritage is her dress and mannerisms.

Love the bits of chinoiserie. I could live there. Enjoyable 😊

What a wonderful home 🏡

I'm not a color person, but I understand that other people are. I think I struggle most with the textile/pattern combinations. I get how they work within each room (I would choose otherwise but I get it) however each room seems to be so different from the next. I don't get a feeling of continuity and I feel like it feels disjointed and jarring.

I love Annie's home like the other comments I find myself being mesmerised by every detail of her house usually I m not too interested in personal objects or decor, but everything is full of stories and character, obviously every object is meaningful to the owner and she didn't go into a lot of details but my mind can't help but imagine all these interesting stories behind every piece of item the adventures she's had. A very soulful home, thanks for the home tour Annie.

I was a stockist for Annie Sloan and I've been in Oxfrord 7 years ago, during a Megaworkshop with Annie at her HQ! One of the best times of my life, with great people! Annie is an amazing lady, I love her deeply and she's been really inspirational to me! A true artist! <3

I keep my house as clean and tidy as possible due to the recluse spiders which are everywhere in this house. Everywhere.

I saw a fabulous floor mirror that would fit perfectly in your house.

You could hand paint small orange accents on the rug and no one would ever guess.

I had a friend who told me if you painted a room the wrong color you’d know immediately but your brain adjusts in a few days and you could have a glaringly wrong color and not realize it if you wait.

Love the cornices. If you weren’t lucky enough to have them in a Victorian home you could reproduce them to add grandeur to a simpler home.

I moved to Madeira recently from Prince Edward Island, Canada. And a bit heart broken that I have to part with so many of my treasures . There's also this part of me that wants to be a minimalist. After watching Annie, she has reassured me that I could never be the latter. I will try to bring as much as possible to my new home on every trip I take across the pond. Annie your home is truely marvellous and cozy.

This charming guy certainly has guts calling that teeny tiny space a vestibule 😂. A bit OTT methinks.

I love, love this designer’s home because it reminds me of my daughter’s home even though she lives in a small apartment in the West. There’s a particular way Mrs. Ann Sloan is, she is considered herself eccentric but I called her an artist of a kind. Many people wishes to have a house to be able to enjoy their collections of items they feel comfortable and happy with them and to that I called it healthy attitude about design.
