Ruuunn 🏃♂️🏃♂️💨👟😂😂
This is totally something from 40k.
Right? A 20-foot armored millipede is totally Warhammer material! But this beast actually roamed Earth 300 million years ago - nature did sci-fi before sci-fi existed! 🦗🔥
Looks like something out of Fallout
Forget Radroaches - Arthropleura was the real deal! A car-sized millipede that actually existed during Earth's prehistoric swamps. No radiation needed! 🦕🌿
Pure speculation
Actually, we've found their fossils! Scientists discovered these giants in Scotland and North America. We even have their footprints preserved in stone. This beast was very real! 🔬💯
@ real but speculation abt its behavior and habits nobody really knows . Getting paid to make up shit
I'm not scared about this😅
Brave until one shows up in your backyard! 😱
3 km isn't that deep, considering that it could very likely have an extremely thick layer of ice. I hope that will be sufficient enough for it to study what lies beneath it. I'm excited to see what we learn about Europa
We will find out in 2031, but scientists estimate that Europa's ocean is 60 to 150 kilometers deep.
Poor dinosaurs 🦕🦖trex
True, but their legacy lives on - every time you see a bird, you're looking at a modern-day dinosaur! 🦅
All lies
Thanks for watching! I value your opinion, so if you have any specific concerns, feel free to share!
Amazing facts 👍▶️
Glad you enjoyed
Dilophosaurus literally did not have frills. The idea came from Jurassic Park because they took the idea from Frilled Lizards to try and make them more intimidating. Also Dilophosaurus were two or three times larger than shown in Jurassic Park.
Troo
You play that game !
THOSE ARE NOT DINOSAURS
Archosaurs are like a big family. Dinosaurs are just one branch of that family. Pterosaurs, those flying reptiles, are another branch. And there are some other, less famous archosaur relatives who lived a long time ago, mostly during the Triassic Period. So, while dinosaurs are archosaurs, not all archosaurs are dinosaurs! 🦖🦕✈️
my favorite animal coming back from the dead... NICE
It's clear the Tasmanian Tiger holds a special place in your heart 🦁
hello their I am the fossil comment please like me so I don't get lost!!!!!

@@SciTechJoe Omg hi
This is not the big a jump. They have been using Thorium and Plutonium mixtures for many years. The Thorium isn't that important...it requires U-235 mixed into the mix Nice but not a breakthrough.
Thanks for the info, good to know! However, ANEEL appears to be a more promising alternative to conventional nuclear fuel than MOX. ANEEL requires less uranium, produces less waste, and is more proliferation-resistant.
@@SciTechJoe Sounds great. Hopefully the US and Canadian regulators will agree. However it's important to remember that this isn't a Thorium reactor. It's a Uranium 235 reactor that happens to use Thorium as a substrate.
I think you'll find that ANEEL really is a pretty different approach than previous uses like shipping port - wait till more technical specs are available
Thorium is about the same as U-238. They both require a breeder reactor to make them into viable energy source. We have warehouses full of surplus U-238, about 5000 years worth (they can't give it away) so it's not clear the various nuclear agencies will invest the time required to switch to Thorium.

@@SciTechJoe This is not the big a jump. They have been using Thorium and Plutonium mixtures for many years. Nice advancement, and I hope it succeeds, but this is not a "Thorium Reactor". It's a Uranium reactor with Thorium as a substrate. Big difference.
Hey look. Another newly discovered dinosaur named after a "Marvel" character. Jk. It's really fascinating that extinct creatures are still being found to this day. Who knows what other extinct creatures are out there waiting somewhere to be discovered.
True 🤣🤣💯
Why are they toys
to play :)))
India is on the final stage to produce thorium based nuclear energy ☺️. India will stop dependence on importing uranium from other countries. And well India also has the largest thorium reserve on earth around 27%.
Great! Looks like India is ready to power up with some thorium energy! Uranium who? :))))
That equation is a certified loverboy
Who knew equations could have such romantic tendencies?
O😊
Ocean isn't blue it just reflects the colour of the sky
Not necessary. The ocean's shade of blue can change depending on how deep the water is, what kind of creatures live in, and even how much sand or dirt floats around.
ONE CAN USE THORIUM MIXED WITH PLUTONIUM FURTHER MIXED WITH URANIUM 238 IN HEAVY WATER REACTORS.
Could nuclear cars become our future? No. The main reasons being cost and usable service life. “Most nuclear power plants have operating life- times of between 20 and 40 years.” -IAEA
Can you lose the hyper-dramatic music? it is distracting and so loud we can't always hear what is being said.
True. Unfortunately, I no longer have the option to make this adjustment after uploading. But I will take this into account for future videos. Thank you.
If your a welder tell us about how stainless steel gets hot and stays hot , would you build a space ship out of stainless
Stainless steel is like that pan that takes forever to heat up but stays hot enough to burn you later. Not ideal for spaceships... unless you're SpaceX:)) they overcame this by using special heat shields to handle the extreme temperatures.
Thorium I have been interested in for years....

The battery be like : So molten salts, Lithium fluoride and Beryllium fluoride are the electrolyte, then Thorium-232 as the cathode and Uranium-238 as the anode, then sealed with Thick layer of Tungsten Carbide, plus Graphite as the separator, and PVDF mixture coat the electrode, (anode as U-238, and cathode as Th-232) . Operating Principle, In this setup, the U-238 anode undergoes radioactive decay, emitting alpha particles. These alpha particles collide with the surrounding LiF-BeF2 molten salt electrolyte, generating heat and releasing electrons. The released electrons flow through the external circuit, producing electrical energy that can be harvested for various applications. Meanwhile, Th-232 in the cathode captures the emitted alpha particles, completing the nuclear reaction cycle.Overall, this battery operates based on the heat and energy generated from the radioactive decay of U-238 and the capture of alpha particles by Th-232, with the molten salt electrolyte facilitating ion conduction and the various components providing structural support and stability. During charging, At the cathode (Th-232), electrons are supplied from the external source, causing Th-232 ions to undergo reduction and potentially form thorium metal or compounds. At the anode (U-238), electrons are removed and transferred to the external circuit, causing U-238 ions to undergo oxidation and potentially form uranium metal or compounds. The movement of ions through the molten salt electrolyte allows for the storage of electrical energy in the form of chemical energy within the battery. This process continues until the battery reaches its maximum storage capacity or until charging is stopped. Once charged, the battery can store the electrical energy until it is needed. When electricity is required, the battery can be discharged by connecting it to an external circuit. During discharge, the stored chemical energy is converted back into electrical energy as the redox reactions at the cathode and anode proceed in the opposite direction, providing a flow of electrons through the external circuit.
Nuclear ships soon
You can tell the people who are driving nuke cars, they glow in the dark.
Awh bs.
Worked in Fallout, until it didn’t
Interesting. Think modular
Thorium will not work, it does not react as well unlike uranium and is very inefficient even at large scale.
Is anyone even looking at this? Assuming a one for one transfer in neutrons, it would take the fission of roughly 1kg of Uranium to mutate 1kg of Thorium. Using Thorium over mining Uranium has advantages for the future. But U233 could also be used in weapons. I am not sure Thorium is a completely safe nuclear tech. I'd much rather see some reactors that can eat some of our waste and plutonium reserves from all those old weapons.
Thorium was used in 3 different commercial reactors in the 1970s and abandoned because it was not cost effective yet the lies and misinformation persist. Thankfully, the people who actually know better have no interest in Thorium in the U.S.. Other countries that have Thorium reserves but no uranium are the only ones interested
We need it, but won't have it in the foreseeable future, chiefly because of proliferation issues. MSRs must have attached reprocessing plants in order to get the U233 obtained from Th232. Moreover, U233 can also be made into something just as explosive as U235.
This is simpler than you think. The Protactinium 233 can be processed on site by running the blanket fluid through a Bismuth Redox tank. The Bismuth grabs the Pa233 and transports it out of the tank. Storing the Pa233 for 5 months means you get almost pure U233. No one , so far, has made a bomb out of U233. The problem is that a tiny portion of the Pa233 contains an element which is a very strong gamma ray projector. This would screw up electronics and be visible from space. Besides, it would be easier to steal U235 than work with U233. The radioactive waste from a MSR can be stuck in a mine for 10 years and then processed. 83% of the waste would be stable and of the 17% which is not, contains two useful radioactive elements. A Ton of MSR waste produces 340 pounds of material of which 75 pounds each would be Plutonium 238 and Strontium 90. The Pu238 is a heat source which lasts for 300 years. The Strontium 90 could be used to irradiate vegetables. E-Coli deaths could become a thing of the past. The rest of the hot waste can be dissolved in glass and buried.
@@UrbanBard1 "No one , so far, has made a bomb out of U233." Not quite true, though no one has made a deployable weapon. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uranium-233#Weapon_material
@@UrbanBard1 If you cannot give one actual working example of the Bismuth Redox system in actual operation, it is nothing more than a lie and misinformation. If it did work you would have critically concerns and nuclear proliferation concerns. And U233 was tried in one U.S. nuclear weapon but it was not as good as U235.. Any fissile material can be used in a nuclear weapon, some better than others
Nah we still have OPEC, they don't want this
I live in Toronto, Ontario where a large body of the loadstone ore consisting Thorium, Uranium, and Plutonium is found since 1939. .... keep me posted and have a good day all of you scientists out there. ..god bless. December 5, 2022. ...Merry Christmas
The US government didn't want thorium technology because they couldn't use for nuclear bombs!!! idiots running our Country!!!
Good Video - Maybe you could work with Gordon Mcdowell on a more detailed video. ruclips.net/channel/UCXIdM7ABQ8b9FI495vbsHkA
Molten salt is extremely corrosive, and dangerous. Thorium also has less energy than uranium.
Water can be corrosive and dangerous. Falling water as used in hydroelectric dams has less energy than uranium (or Thorium).
Have you heard of thorium concept car,It can runs 100 years on only 8g. of fuel?
I created a video related with the nuclear cars: ruclips.net/video/Oazr4u2ZtZs/видео.htmlsi=R0RxDPmm1AxOmZ8x
This is a very good video! Thanks to this video, I now have a better understanding on this subject! 🎉thanks for posting x
You're so welcome!
The bean counters live in terror of a molten salt reactor going "Solid" and turning their zillion dollar investment into a worthless salt mine.......
I think you are on to something. You and Rod Adams.
Why didn't this video explain what is stopping the construction of MSR's in the USA????
It was once said "If you build a better mousetrap, the world will beat a path to your door." However, the guys who sold the old type mousetraps (oil) were not consulted and it was not hard to convince customers not to try the new mouse traps. It was said the new mousetraps weren't safe. It was said they cost too much. It was said the new mouse traps were hard to dispose of. It was hard for the manufacturer to get permits to build said mouse traps.
Let's hope it has more success Tham the Santa Susana Field Laboratory accident.
the reason thorium was dumbed because u cant make weapons from it
Those are US government lies. It didn’t produce more power they couldn’t make nuclear weapons out of thorium like they can plutonium, which is radioactive and you can make bombs out of it. Thorium doesn’t have no radioactive waste plutonium does again don’t believe the lies. The government tells you on oh, thorium is not as good. No, you can’t make a weapon auditorium you’re full of shit United States military
