Nice one, John. We visited recently, and I really enjoyed the run. The track was very well maintained, and very scenic. Valve timing was put on the loco, but it sounds good in your clip.

Excellent collection there John, not many 82 class left in the old FreightCorp livery, 8254 must be near due for an overhaul and repaint. I like the livery they painted CLF3 in, very catchy.

The privatisation of once public assets marches on, maybe I am nostalgic, but I think things were better back in the days of SRA of NSW, VR and SAR/Australian National? Gone is the "job for life" and good mates, and pride in your workplace. Now you have to watch what you say (watch your back) and say about, otherwise you end up in deep poo. It's all about the bottom line and the almighty dollar now. Aurizon and Pacific National calling the shots now with Qube, and SSR to a lesser extent. Amazes me how Sydney Trains has survived so long in state ownership and hasn't been sold off. Great video John with some classic EMD, thanks for posting, it was much enjoyed!😉

Send some of that rain out west John, we need it! Pissy little horn on that Qube "Rice Burner" at the start, is that the best it can do on "Country" setting, or maybe it was on "Town" setting? Nice collection John, well done.

Be good if your camera panned the locos as they went passed, instead of watching the graffiti strewn wagons

Very nice collection of moves John, did you have lunch at Goulburn RSL? They used to bung on a decent lunch special a few years back for $10, roast of the day plus dessert and bread roll. X54 looks sharp in "Mobile PPE" livery too. Young bloke telling the older man on the footplate (10:45) to "shovel faster, shovel like you mean it!"

I was travelling on the Lady Hopetoun that day. We waited half an hour for the James Craig to emerge from Darling Harbour. We were buzzed by a Polair helicopter, and I saw a drone come down and film us. The fleet travelled up to Bradley's Head, then we travelled alongside the James Craig on the return trip. Certainly a lot of volunteers to be seen up on the foremast. I couldn't spot the Governor on board though.
