An odd shaped pumpkin, I wanted to try a new shape mount and teeth. So i focus my time on those. I was going to take my time on the eyes, but a storm was coming so i focused on the mouth and general shapes on the head... I did give it an exposed brain, but you cant really see it in the video.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your video helped me put my keurig back to together. Your awesome!!!!
Great vid - i'm just a beginner at the moment but this was very helpful.
Thank you!
am i able to pause this on roku?
Not sure on roku.. it should work because Roku has a pause button.
Mate that was so informative, needed this today, thank you 🙏
Tim, great video especially with your sensitivity toward window lighting glare on the effect of the footage. Im having an issue with the thin plastic piece that covers the inside upper part of the machine's "mouth" , the piece with the circular and rectangular cutouts featured in the footage at 3:56 mark of this video. I had tinkered with the machine to reset the screen n my 2.0 300 model. The machine worked and the piece was in place but recently came loose and apart from the machine. I've scoured the internet for a diagram or video to help but to no avail. I even called Keurig which told me that because that model is discontinued it couldnt help me...The piece seems to be in tact. Any thoughts?
Well that is a 'hard to identify' part.. but i know its part of the 'lid' 'arm' or handle.. not sure which they call it. Here is a picture i found of it wiringall.com/image/keurig-20-parts-diagram-8.jpg (shows the part up close). To view the picture is safe (copy paste the link into a browser), but i would suggest not surfing around that website too much (wiringall.com). It has a bunch of pop up stuff. But its safe to view the the .jpg and at least you can see clearly that part. Some searching .. i could not find the name of that part. It has several functions including holding the cup momentarily to allow the pin to retract as well has having windows (those holes.. i believe the square one) to identify a 'legit Keurig "K" cup or not'. I did not find it for sale as a single item. Mostly i found things listed as "LCD Assembly" "Arm assembly" etc for a Keurig 2.0, which is what i think we owned when this video was shot years ago. The arms i saw on eBay were pretty beat up and most did not show if that part was included. Not sure if yours broke off.. or fell off .. but it might be impossible to find a replacement, you might be better finding a used model similar to yours are scavenging it for parts if you REALLY want to fix it vs replace the unit. Good luck!
I didn’t have washers handy but I used some cardboard. I’m thrilled that my maker now works perfectly. I can’t thank you enough as this is my favorite machine yet!
Great job! That is innovative !!
Thanks for the info. Vid was very helpful. At 0:42 if you look on the top part just to the left of the needle you can see that small round tube like protrusion. I found if you just use a Silicone drink straw it fits perfectly with no adhesive needed. Just cut it to length and it works fine. No washers needed.
Thank you very much
Thx Tim, solved my problem!
Hi Tim, very helpful video, right to the point, worked great for AS, thank you! Do you know is if there is a way to have Solr as a service in Windows also? Thanks again.
Sorry i did not see this comment. I believe you can set it up as a service.
So awesome!!
Great Video. I've got a really basic question. When I think about bringing content in form of a 'show' to a monitor then first I think about Powerpoint. What is the difference between making a Powerpoint presentation let's say of 30 minutes in form of slides with images and text compared to make a show with a digital signage software like you talk about in your video?
Great question. A simple answer, PowerPoint is designed to run for a single presentation and likely needs a computer with an OS and PowerPoint software (or the free player) to run it. It also needs the presentation edited when a change is needed. This setup uses cheap raspberry pi computers that hide behind the TV, and they pull from a centrally located content resource. If your just doing 1 TV display and have a spare computer you could certainly do that (your idea). This project that I recorded this video for was a bunch of displays for a church and they were mounting them in open areas where the tech needs to be hidden and flexible. In our church there are different people constantly submitting content via whatever format they are comfortable with (PDF, doc, png, jpg etc) from various internal church organizations. These changes can come at anytime via email with the expectation that the change will be made swiftly and added to the presentation. In our church we also need multiple people to have access to change the content at anytime. Sometimes its adding content, other times its taking it removing content. By using the method in this video we can have multiple people (those with access to the website) change content at will, and it will automatically distribute everywhere without physically being anywhere specific. I Hope that answers your questions from my perceptive. There are many other differences, and PowerPoint is a great tool also that i use often, however, I hope this answered your question from the perspective of why i made this video.
This app seems to be completely broken. Everytime I register my Roku TVQue code, it tells me "Restart the TVQue app on TV and register within 5 minutes." Then when I do it again, the TV Code changes, and I get the same message. I can never seem to register the proper TV code and have it show up as a device. sigh.
What device are you using?
Thanks for posting. This fix has saved my Keurig!!!
Thank You, I don't mind doing the first step to close the lid. I saw other videos that want me to disassemble parts first, which I don't want to do, and the never mentioned holding down that inner part that is very to access and I don't have to take apart my unit.
Do they not sell parts for these?
Great question. You probably need to reach out to Keurig with that question. This video was a easy fix for a bad design. But if you can get the part, AND if you want to dismantle the machine much more than i do in the video, i am sure you could replace that part. I have reservations on how worth it that would be. Making assumptions here, but i am sure they wont make the part cheap to buy. I do know that tearing down the machine far enough to replace those parts, is much more than i do in the video. In the video i am really just removing a handle and a cover. My son and i were proud of providing a solution at little to no cost, and with minimal effort, however, if you do go down the path or replacing the part with one from Keurig, let me know if it was worth it. Best luck to you.
I have a few questions; 1) What thickness is the tape you used? 2) After a bit, doesn't the tape start to pull away, cause from the heat from the coffee or the other parts around the fix, getting worm or hot? 3)Does the tape or any parts of the fix get wet with steam as you use the machine? Also a load of thanks to you and your cameraman!👍🤗😊 Mine broke this morning luckily after making my 1st cup and looked on Amazon to replace it...K250 Plus 2.0 is $285!! 😳 Found the parts inside and you're right, for what we pay for it they should do a redesign & issue a retrofit with the amount of people that have the same parts break.👍 👍👏👏 Unfortunately, they won't because Kurig is hoping more people think it can't be fixed or don't want to work around so they put it in the trash and get a new one. 😳
Thanks for the comment JS... here are a few answers. 1. The tape I used was from Home Depot.. a quick search and i see Gorilla 1 in. x 1.67 yd. Black Heavy Duty Mounting Tape is similar to what i used. its thick like a little less than 1/16" inch.. but if you get the mounting two sided tape they have that will work... 2. The area the tape goes doesnt get hot. So no worries there. No issues with heat, steam or water either. Remember a Keurig.. keeps the steam and heat mostly in the KCup.. thus the reason they can get away with plastic parts. It never fell off even when i cleaned the machine. ... On a last note.. my son was only small at the time but so proud to help dad make a video.. Just last night i was telling him that video is still helping folks.. today he is 6' tall (as tall as me). Hope this works for you!!
Wow, I have a new machine (3 months old) and I'm looking at 4 year old videos how to fix THIS problem
Well i hope the video helps. My son and I are amazed at how many people use this video still to this day. I think perhaps Keurig should have fixed that design issue by now! Good luck
I really need to learn more about this. Any additional information available? Thanks for the content
Ben. The SMTP server on windows is super basic and only used for forwarding email anymore. Its quite hard to beleive it used to be a real email server component. The video walks thru setting one up. I highly recommend that you setup a test. I find my students learn better that way. You could use a simple smtp client as the sender.. the SMTP relay server as the relay.. and any email server you might have as a destination.
@@timpetrosky6210 thanks for the response Tim. I am a learning network administrator and am trying to figure out how to have devices that i monitor send me emails alerts automatically. I was told i need to use a nonsecure email server and am going to try our company email first to see if that works. Ill follow along with this tutorial too. Thanks again
@@famfeld So Ben, if you have an onsite email server, you should be able to create a listener on your email server specifically for that by creating a listener/receive connector restricting(scoping) it to only permit the IP's of the devices that will send it email alerts to use it. This would not need an SMTP relay. But if you have a cloud based system like 365 and you want your devices to send alerts there.. thats a good project for this type of relay thing. The video should walk you thru that. There is one thing that you need to do is make sure the public IP that the smtp relay gets NATTED to is permitted to send inbound email without applying checks like SPF etc. Alot of times people will NAT the smtp relay with all the clients.... nota good idea... since permitting the ip in your cloud system would then allow all client to send to it.. your better off making sure the SMTP relay is natted to a dedicated public IP for that one server. Sorry for the choppy response, its been a long day
@@timpetrosky6210 The response is coherent and i appreciate the help. We don't have an email server, so it seems like your saying that this would work. I still have to watch your video so i can get grounded in this process
My daughter just broke the clips and the door stuck open. Thank you for posting and sharing. Thanks!!!👏👍!

Hi there! Would you be willing to assist in an install of a newer version? Thanks!
I will look into it. I am busy with a couple big projects now... but things should free up in a month or so
very, very, very good! Thank you so much for this!
Hi tim, great video! I just wanted to ask, for newer versions of archivesspace they state an external solr instance is required to be running. I'm not sure if I missed you setting that up, but does this tutorial take that into account or is this for the versions with solr still embedded?
This just uses the embedded. Since i made this video i have not had to deploy anything so i have not installed the external
Your genius fix worked. Thank you!
Now this video was helpful! Thank you very much!
I need to make this! Do you have a step-by-step tutorial perhaps?
Hi Shannon, I do not have a tutorial, i made it mostly as i went. I can do this, I can make some notes over the next day or so and post it.
thank you so much for this tim!!! I see you still answering comments fairly recently, so wondering if you would be open to responding to troubleshooting/issues during the process? if not here, then where would be the best way to reach you directly? thanks again
Alan, glad this video helped. I'll get u an email to send to
This was the first video that actually helped - Do you have a payment method i can send cash to ?
Thanks Matt, that is very kind. But i did this for free. I wanted to give help to others, because when i was installing it i wished i had a video to help me. Enjoy!
Text overlay color selection is enabled now
how can i send a file with 1000 mbytes?
Thank you very much fro this video Tim. Do you know anything about deploying ArchiveSpace on Cloud service like AWS? Can you do a tutorial on that if you do?
Thank you for the comment and question. Let me see what advice I can give you. Hosting a program (web server w/database) in the cloud is common. There are many ways to host in the cloud. I'll suggest two to get you started. A hosted virtual machine (behind a firewall with a static public NAT address) or using a container (Docker for example). First, most cloud service 'can' host a Windows or Linux machine as a virtual machine behind a firewall. In this method the process for deployment would be the exact same process as in my video instructions. In addition to deploying it, you would need to configure the firewall/public IP NAT/ and rules allowing tcp/443 (https) in from the Internet. This will vary from cloud vendor to cloud vendor, but their tech support will likely help you with this part. The second method, using a docker or similar container is also possible and would be similar to the instruction for the Linux install. This method you would use if you want to build your own Docker image which means your basically building a virtual machine with just the components that are needed to run this program and the cloud vendor then can import your image and host your container. The container method is a bit more involved since you need to learn building container images. It also involves seperating the database store location to be outside the container. Containers typically are not used o store the data internally because one of the benefits of containers is to be able to delete them and redeploy them. So you woldnt want your data destroyed in this process. Containers are great, but with the quirkiness of this application's install, you might want to choose "using a cloud hosted virtual machine" to save yourself some effort. One last note; I am not an expert on their software and how well it was developed. I never reviewed it to see if they had security in mind when they wrote it. I have not monitored how often its updated nor have I executed a web app or other pennetration test to check its security. So keep that in mind if you intend on hosting it in the cloud but accessing it from anywhere. I wish you good luck with your install.
My Keurig Elite (purchased in August) had this problem. The piece that makes the bottom extend out so you can put your K cup in separated from the guiding tracks. I called Keurig and they have no idea of what I'm talking about. This video is the closest solution I've come across. I wish Keurig had a schematic of parts and how they work for my machine.
Thanks Tim! This just happened to my 2.0 after using it daily for the past 5+ years.
Thank you! Those 2 little tabs conspired to sabotage my day off! You are the hero of the day.
Thanks Tim - particularly useful to see how to get that top cover off without breaking it. Now to check my "useful bits and bobs" collection for a suitable spacer!
Excellent!
I got up today and had this issue with our Keurig coffee maker. Thank you so much for this fix!! I will certainly do it! Plastic parts are NOT our friend with these critical parts. You are correct, Keurig should make a metal replacement-part for their expensive machines. Thank you again to you can your camera persons help!! ❣️
Do you sell the 3D part? Can I buy you a cup of coffee?
I do not but someone on this list of comments might. I think a bent washer just worked fine.
@@timpetrosky6210 Thanks. It's sort of strange how this world is evolving. Those little tabs break so often, I wonder if you could make a side income selling a repair. Have a great day!
This guide was perfect. I have a temperature sensor that does not support TLS for email (they claim that the hardware is not enough and I should purchase the 400 U$ version). But this way I make it work! thanks! The only missing key step is opening the port at firewall. Thanks again
👍
ok, just to close this off, I had my wonderful applications developer help me and was able to figure out that the local system account thats used to run the archivesspace service needed read/write access to the solr/data folder. once that was done then the service starts and everything works
Great Video !! Found my problem and fix for my K500
Thank you Jordan Lee Peterson!
thank you thank you tim!!!! i would give you 100 likes if i could, but this video was spot on! although i use windows 2016 server and by now archivesspace is on v3.0.1, everything else was pretty much the same and it worked like a charm. i spent at least 2 days trying to get this to work.
Glad to hear it helped someone. I was so frustrated trying to get this to work for our site. :)
@@timpetrosky6210 oops, maybe i spoke too soon. in the public interface on port 8081, i am getting a unable to connect to database, similar to the 8080 before creating respository. 8080 works fine now i think, but 8081 can't connect to the databse. any idea? sorry....
@@islandsnow I would ask that you rewatch the install starting about 20 minutes in. Make sure you didnt miss any settings. ALso the first time it launches,, it will start, stop then restart some of those ports. The unfortunate part is that i found once my install messed up.. (for any reason) .. i would have to start over. So i used a VM and after every step.. i took a snapshot of the VM.. so if the next step failed.. i could roll back and try again. After you review the video again for any setting you might have missed or that might not have worked, let me know
@@timpetrosky6210 I rewatched it many times :) so finally, this is my conclusion, I just don't have time to troubleshoot it further but when I run it as a service (archievesspaceservicew.exe //ES//) or start the service from the services applet, and it does start, the solr instance breaks. http error 500 and something about collection1 not available due to init failure. which is probably the reason why anything in the public side of port 8081 does not work, says unable to connect to database. but running the archivesspace.bat file manually or running archivesspaceservice.exe //TS// works. don't like the console method because its continually scrolling messages
@@islandsnow Thanks for the reply.. i did have that same issue. and it (for me anyway) boiled down to not opening the command prompt as an administrator on certain parts of the install.. which means i had to start over in my install.
Super helpful. Thanks
I used the fix!! didnt need to take any screws out.... it works! thanks!
Thank you! Thank you! I spoke with Keurig today (5/2021) and they are still saying there is no way to fix this. They offered me 25%off a new Keurig with some products. Shame on you Keurig! These systems are expensive enough without out you trying to gouge more from people. Thank you again Tim!
Thank you so much for this video! For some reason my Keurig seems to be opening higher so I needed to use 4 washers on top. But it seems to have done the trick!
