My name is Asia. Born and raised in the southern parts of Florida, USA and wanted to show what I personally do as a hobby. Starting from the age of 13 in middle school, from year 2004, this has been the lifetime journey of my hobby. I did play in middle school to high school as a self taught individual. I did not attend a university in my time due to my circumstances, but none the less, I still play because it has been the greatest expression I've had in my life. Though quite diverse, I stuck to the traditional teachings from my middle school instructor who started me on a woodblock, to meeting various other individuals who did attend universities & colleges, from being a leader in my past times & still teaching with every opportunity I get. How do you get better at cheese inverts? Those are so dirty for me
work on buck motion accent tap! do 8-8-16 but accent every down beat then accent every upbeat. you the can do 1e& 2e&.... on each hand but accent the & (rrR rrR). then use that upstroke motion to get good at regular inverts. then do the rrR rrR but add a diddle on the accent. this allows you to get better at upstrokes into diddles. then you have yourself the foundation of cheese inverts and lots of other hydride! ALSO TAKE IT SLOW. IT HELPS YOU UNDERSTAND THE SPACE AND RHYTHMIC VALUE WITHOUT IT SOUNDING LIKE VOMIT.
How long does it take to learn to atleast physically play something like that? Not read or even good but jus able to try to put it together ?
It’s really dependable on the player. Some catch on quick because it natural syncs. If you haven’t touched a snare before then a year.
