484: The Brain Shift That Makes Organization Easy
Emily was the boss everyone adored-always there for her employees, encouraging them to grow, and fostering a family-like atmosphere. But one thing held her back: organization. Her desk, her office, and even her digital files were in chaos. She hired a professional organizer, but after just two weeks, everything reverted back to the same messy state.
The truth? The problem wasn't the clutter-it was rooted in a deeper thinking skill that many of us overlook: categorization. In this episode of The Business Brain Podcast, I’m going to explain how improving this key cognitive function helped Emily not only maintain an organized space but make organization feel easy.

    Thank you, that was interesting. The challenge for me was not focus or remaining focused on something, its "starting" it in the first place and avoiding it for things i find more interesting. Ive only learned today that i have this ADHD stuff, so its helping. How do you kick start your dopalime? ... Something for you. I found your video with "task initiation adhd" google search, so might be worth placing that in your description as a hashtag #taskinitiationadhd all the best, have a great year ahead. We are all learning, the trick is to be kind to ourselves ❤

      @DiyEcoProjects ❤️❤️❤️ A part of the work is turning the challenge into a challenge that falls in your sweet spot. If it's too challenging, we get overwhelmed, if it's too easy we get bored. If we can adjust the challenge to fall into the sweet spot of challenges, we kick start dopamine. Let's make 2025 our best year yet.

    hey ST, thanks for the video, that's a great idea I will give it a try. I have a unrelated issue I was hoping you could help me with, sometimes when I'm programming and exerting myself, I will hit this "deadness" in my brain where my brain is pretty much done and I have to stop programming because my IQ has dropped and I cant really do it anymore. I was wondering if you know how to solve this? What would you recommend?

    • @LifePixUniversity
      @LifePixUniversity 19 дней назад

      @therealestever ❤️❤️ There can be so many reasons for this. I'd start by working on the basics. Make sure you're getting enough water, sleep and oxygen. Probably wouldn't solve the problem but can't do anything without it

    fuck am I supposed to say? "Yes, mommy". there have been times in my life very frequently where I have to consider what makes me less weird in public, some ti th extent that I hav to consider if I even look like the façade of being human I'm trying to keep up. I am a being who has to constantly negotiate with myslef to survive. even If it's being gun-shy I have to negotiate "do I just start here until? /human", "leave preemptively? +weird", "discreetly move to a stall? -human" fuck that shit fuck that mindset. argh I hate being limited by being a human, and it's my first time, too so I'm not even good at it.

    hi. I found these tips useful and super new! I want to improve my spatial awareness if I am not wrong, spatial orientation also effects how one can find their way properly and how one can drive somewhere with instructions in mind. do you agree with me? can I get better at these? thank you...
