Pinemen Outdoors Episode 8: Alabama Turkey Trip Part 2

The second and final part of Matt's 2021 turkey hunting trip on Alabama public land. Some footage got corrupted in the field, and some encounters caught us off guard and weren't able to be recorded. These missing parts had to be told through dialogue without in the field footage. We apologize for the large amount of straight to the face dialogue.

This is our first official video, and it was made to give our channel a brief introduction and to talk about how our 2019 deer season went.
Really?! So that's the best use of your time God gave you, to run around shooting poor innocent little squirrels?
I live in central KY. Live squirrel huntin. Keep the squirrel huntin videos coming buddy.
yum fried Squirrel tonight
I use to camp every opening weekend squirrel season with my dad and his family it was best days my life
What the limit in Louisiana it’s 8 per day and be careful hitting em with gun stock it can go off and kill you also make dam sure it’s dead before it goes in bag and make sure you look on other side log in Louisiana big copperhead coil up on other side log you step over get tagged in leg ok
Im stationed here and picking up bow hunting. Im going to go out there and spot and see what i can see. Amistad is tough terrain to hunt. Goodluck next time brother.
We only have a limit of 6 squirrels. You guys are lucky. But quit beating them with your gun butt. Just step on their head and maintain the pressure for a count of 12.
6 daily or for the season?
Have you ever hunted sam houston? If so, was it ever rewarding?
Man at the 8:08 mark. That spider!
seems like a limit of 5 would be enough
Is that a model 37 Winchester you’re hunting with ?
Not to be weird about this or anything but which state park are you guys hunting at? It seems their are tons of squirrels their
Good question! Will like to know too.
Super bon à manger l'écureuil sur le barbecue entre copains bon moment a passer 🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿
Great video I cut my teeth on tree rats Still like to hunt them as much as I did all them years ago
What's the best method of removing pellets from the meat? I would like to use my mossberg 500 riot issue, thanks from Michigan
I have no idea. I pick pellets out before I cook them when I notice them, but we never really go through and try to remove them all. You bite into a pellet on occasion, but we always just eat squirrel like we do fish that has bones in it.
I use Running water and a knife tip
Its simple, use a .22!!!
quick question, i hunt sam houston alot and cant seem to find as many squirrels as yall. typically i only find a few of them in hardwood bottoms. have yall had any luck in sam houston, if so how did yall go about hunting.
Yes, there are a lot of squirrels in East Texas from what I've experienced. Just gotta go scout and find the areas that have a lot of oaks compared to the amount of pines. Like you said though, you can always find some by creeping through most bottoms or along creeks. I like to slip through the woods and watch for them jumping and shaking branches, or listen for the sounds of them eating and dropping pieces of acorn or pinecone on the ground. Try to creep closer or make any other movement while they're also moving. You can also try to creep up on ones you hear barking in the distance. You'd be surprised how close you can get to those and get a shot off before they get nervous and take off. Squirrel hunting for me is usually better early season because they're all in the trees eating and there's still leaves in the trees that can block their vision. They're on the ground a lot more late season and the lack of leaves exposes us and our orange vest and hat a lot more. I hope this helps man, good luck the rest of the season. Feel free to ask any more questions or if you need me to clarify anything. -Pineman
dirt nap dealer!
Great video bro!
Good hunting.
Good video, seems like an interesting place to hunt.
Thanks! It was a unique experience
@@pinemenoutdoors8821what area were you in for this hunt?
Man I enjoyed yalls hunt and video. Let me share something with you. I used to take my gunstock and finish off rabbits and squirrels like that. I finished off dozens of them. One day I finished one off and the shotgun discharged. It tore the hat off of my head and nearly deafened me. I still have trouble this day hearing. .The hammer wasn't back either. Be safe. 👍
Thanks for the complement and the advice! Safe hunting
Oh man, I'm sorry that happened like that. I've never even thought about that happening. Thanks for the heads up though, and thanks for watching!
I NEVER do this because I know someone who was accidentally shot by someone trying to finish off a raccoon they shot while raccoon hunting. The gun went off while hitting the raccoon in the head with the stock of a .410 shotgun. My uncle was hit in the stomach at close range. He survived but it did permanent damage
I never use my gun to bludgeon wounded game, very dangerous! So when it comes to shotguns on squirrels, I learned to do a fast Texas Two Step😅 be careful and have fun
I think you caught a hitchhiker at 8:08 friend. Great video!
Thanks man! Yeah haha I was picking spider webs off my face all weekend.
Looks like we may have hunted the same scrapes lol. Those scrapes around 7:00 look exactly like ones I found and hunted. Davy Crockett?
Maybe so! We only hunted those scrapes once during the following season after this video was posted. Cory ended up getting a doe with his bow there in the Scrape Spot video that morning.
Good video footage guys. It was great to meet you in Houston on your way to hunt in PA . . . look forward to seeing video.
Thank you! It was nice meeting you as well. We got skunked in PA unfortunately haha.
Awesome!!
I think you should fill out your tags and come duck hunt with us
Well there was definitely blood on that arrow. Good shot Cory.
Nice!!!!
Thats one good looking buck
Thanks Man!
Did you use your dog to find that buck?
yes. only found two drops of blood. My dog walked straight to him almost. He piled up not 40 yards from where I shot him
The first of everything are special. Congrats.
I didn't know Shia Labeouf took up hunting, sick!
