This channel is a history of hikes that I have taken alone or with friends and will show you how beautiful being out in nature can be. My hope is that on your next visit to Austria or anywhere in the world you will take a couple of days away from crowds and have a visit with nature. Some of the videos will be of shorter hikes as we pass through town with the goal of coming back for a longer stay.

The Riedingtal is so beautiful we visited here three times in a matter of months and we definitely have plans to go back.

Our friend Walter suggested we do the hike up to the Schödersee and we sure are glad he suggested it. It is an easy going 5.2 miles to the lake with plenty of beautiful natural places to see and enjoy.

Not the biggest waterfall in Austria, but a beautiful one indeed. At the top of the waterfall we explored the ruins of the Bachsfall Castle. Nicht der größte Wasserfall Österreichs, aber ein wunderschöner. Oben auf dem Wasserfall erkundeten wir die Ruine Bachsfall.

how long does such a walk take?
10 minutes from the parking lot to the bottom of the waterfall. You could do the whole hike up within 30 minutes but it’s such a beautiful place so when I am there I like to stay longer. Thanks for watching.

wonderful video of such a great tour, we have been doing a couple of hikes in the last 2 weeks in Bad Gastein and the Niedersachsenhaus is one of the next on our list, i´m very looking forward to it, but the next one is the bockhartseen and i´m already super excited about that one :-) the last hikes in in Gastein were really amazing, there was so much water in the waterfalls because of the melting snow

für mich eine reise in die vergangenheit,Blasius höll war ihr lebensgefährte für 36 jahre der in tenneck lebte...blühnbachtal war damals sehr toll....salzburg ,weltklasse....ostpreusenhütte war ich leider nie....eisriesenwelt und alles andere ja.....tolle gegend....beide starben 2008 blasius im januar,er liegt in werfen..mene mutter august 2008...ich denke gern an die zeit in österreich zurück,,,,danke melody für deine mühen.
