Witchfinder General - 'Resurrected Redux' - Fan Edit

This is the same concert as the 2006 "No Mercy for Montreal" bootleg, but it seems to be a much better source tape than what made it to the unofficial LP. This is the best quality concert I've come across of the "Don't Break the Oath" tour. An exceptionally well done audience recording, especially considering the extremely energetic crowd. Black Sabbath - Live 1978 'Never Say Die' HD Fan Audio/Video Edit

Here we have Skeevo's audio edit of Black Sabbath's first home video recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon on June 10, 1978. The image is displayed in it's native aspect ratio and has been brightened a bit and reframed from the DVD rip to eliminate the empty black space around the video. Buried deep down in the overly muddy mix were some very quiet side channels that I was able boost and bring more...

Here we have a healthy slice of doom from the almighty Trouble. This copy is better quality than the other video on youtube, with both audio channels active. I've improved the sound to the best of my ability. It's EQ'd, less noisy, and the vocals are bit clearer. Below is the slightly modified text from the original uploader. Corpus Mortale - Spiritism (Unreleased 1998 Album)
Просмотров 5853 года назад
Some sources call this collection of sickened Danish death metal an album, some call it a demo. Whatever the case, sometime after completing their time in the studio, the 2 guitarists left the band, and the recording was shelved. In my opinion, that's a complete travesty. The same lineup recorded their near perfect (IMO) 1996 EP, and this collection of tunes is not too far behind in quality. Th...
Abomination - Live in Chicago 1988 - Soundboard Bootleg *AUDIO*

Here is Skeevo's cleanup of an absolutely killer 1988 recording taken from the board at Medusa's by the too often overlooked Abomination from death metal grandaddy Paul Speckmann. I don't know what recording engineers were smoking back in the early days of death metal, but I can't fathom how you take this kind of murderous perfection and manage to neuter it in the studio when it's time for an a...
ZZ Top - Earliest Live Bootleg 1971 - Fan Remaster

The audience at Pensacola Municipal Auditorium had little idea what they were in for prior to these three young Texans kicking off. Few likely forgot what they witnessed afterwards. Already masters of their craft, ZZ Top set fire to the stage during this set. This recording is sometimes listed as 1970, but uncertain since Billy mentions "how 'bout something from the first album", which was not ...

They opened for Journey in Sep 1981 in KC. Saw them 2 nights in a row.
Never understood why they didn’t hit bigger.
This is so cool. Thank you for posting this. Exactley how I'd imagine them sounding live.

I remember seeing PCVT at Livorno's "Topsy Pub" on April 23, 1988, so 20 months exactly before this gig ... Thanks for posting!
never forget , one familie and great shows.
It's Mike Goner on drums (RIP) and Scott OZ on bass. I'm the bassist that replaced Scott in summer 86. Thanks for posting this !!
@@danielrodcf hell yeah, thanks!
This is the best 👍
Emozioni che mai più si sono palesate . Epoca gloriosa che ricordo con estrema nostalgia. Purtroppo oggigiorno il Tempio del Metal straripa di posers , galline e mezzeseghe politicamente corrette
Are they represented by some original members here
Blessed blues
What was the faulty edit correction?
I appreciate the kind words. Remembering back, there were a few punch-ins and transitions that didn't line up quite right, plus some hard cuts on fade outs and the like.
@@skeevysteve8245The drums on Song 1 midway through almost sound completely off time I don’t know what the heck they were thinking. I imagine their budget was super low but still, the engineering is so juvenile. The music holds up though.
@@tyranonaut I know what you mean. Still, I can crank it and manage to get lost in some of these riffs.
Excellent job on this. This is the lost 3rd WFG album and Phil is the star of the show. The original mix was so abysmal but I still love the album. You did an amazing service to this music.
Man they were really good.
Легенды трэша!
Shared is in both photos on the right but not on this recording, only the 1st red demo@
Dean Chioles played the guitar on this show not Shafer!
Thanks so much for the confirmation! I do a lot of research on these posts, but sometimes it's a crapshoot without firsthand knowledge. I'll get the update made - which is in the photo?
Thanks!
Actually the original CD sounds the same or better. Resurrected is their coolest sounding doom metal album and their best release. I like the singing style of Gaz more than Zeeb and Gaz yells and semi-screams at times and is more scruffy than Zeeb. Highly under rated metal album that you want to play often. Wish they would cut another one with Gaz, Phil and the rest.
I miss Zeeb however
@@MikeIXWilliams oh Lord yeah lol
I love Witchfinder General, what year was this recorded/released..?!
2008, but I think all/most of the music was written around 83-84
Damn I cannot remember who was on drums and bass here… they went through so many bassists and drummers… I’ll try to figure it out.
Goner on drums here
@ Hey Chris!
Hey Skeevy, great compilation. I remember Sweet Savage in the early days, only saw them a couple of times unfortunately, last time was at McMordie hall in Queen's union when Vivian came back from recording the first Dio album 'Holy Diver'. Hope you can help - I seem to remember one of their songs where the main riff was lifted for the Dio song 'Caught In The Middle' on 'Holy Diver'. It's not in this compilation, do you know what the song was, do you have a copy you could upload ? Thanks again, great work 👍
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Saw them in '78 at the old Cleveland Coliseum. Great band and completely under rated.
Glad I happened upon this gem!
Between 5 and 6 I think There is a lost song
Good shit yo I was just getting into these type of music and it sounds really brutal. I enjoy this type of sound
first saw them in a basketball gym at the time of their point blank lp being released, then zztop was the headliner during the tres hombres daze, yup......my ears are still ringing ha! good times.....
Holy crap I love this band. They should be with the likes of Lynard, Allman Bros, cause this is just straight dirty dog music. So good for the soul. Rock in a crowd, a bed, a truck, but your rockin somewhere with this band.
Thanks a Million mate !!😊
Que buena banda. La primera Escuela del Death Metal
In the late '90's (most) of the members of Point Blank had a band called Bigfoot Johnson who had a house-band gig at the Tattoo Bar. It wasn't Point Blank II, and was mainly just for fun....but they'd play most of their old material. I thought it was really cool to see and hear them up close, in a room that wasn't much bigger than kitchen! Up close and intimate. Awesome.
I certainly remember The Binary Star. If I recall correctly, it was behind and above a unisex hair salon, two levels-- one for the stage, one for the patrons. I don't even think it was a legitimate licensed club!...if you wanted a beer, you had to go into the adjoining foosball arcade next door. Saw some great bands there-- Shotgun was a favorite. US Kids, Titus Oates (who were from my high school), Lynx, lots of Austin bands. A lot of the early punk bands played there as well. When Mother Blues/Gerties got busted, Led Zeppelin and Thin Lizzy would hang out and jam whenever they were in town. I made time with lots of good-looking chicks there....until I'd find out they were hookers! Great, fun place.
Very far out
Amazing job making this sound better. I wish the band did a more instrumental focused album, it’s so clear that it’s missing its soul vocally and lyrically. Their unique sense of rhythm while keeping true to doom metal was just as much a part of their identity as the lyrical talent that Zeeb had. Definitely is nice to hear that Derm and Phil still got it after all that time
I caught them in the early 90s at the Loose Moose Saloon in Stanton, CA. They were great. Someone tried to rob me in the parking lot as I walked home but it didn't work out for him.
Merci !
Nick Barker🤘🏼
This is one bad ass band !!!!
I jammed with Rusty and the boys in the late 70s the night before they played one of the first Tx Jamms in Dallas.
I just found this. I was at this, my god!
Buddy on guitar!!!
Buddy was great. But Rusty was best.
Heavy!!!
Great band, and the guitars sound fat. Thanks to Buddy Whittington !
‘Twas a banger
That version of Alcohol is amazing yeaaah!!!!!!
When I was an undergrad, I dont remember exactly where I got some songs from this EP(or album), but I remember that I listened to those songs like a thousand times, my favourite was the book of blood. A couple of years later, I found all the songs in spiritism. I was familiar with the band's EP, integration(1996), which I had encountered these guys on a compilation of Repulse Records. Way before my undergraduate times, I sent a letter to Corpus Mortale. Since they moved somewhere else in Denmark, my letter initially could not be delivered to them, later on somehow my letter reached them, it was 6-7 months after I sent my letter, they responded by sending me a CD of their new EP "Succumb to the Superior" then, some photos and information about the band, and one cool letter ending with: "Ozan, I hope you like our new EP!! ". I never forget that my sisters and some of their friends were so surprised because one of my sisters opened the door and accepted the delivery, and they all loved the guys on the photos, especially the hairs of the group members:) They also thanked me so much for my interest in the band. The guy writing the letter on behalf of the band was Nicholas, the drummer. Those days will forever linger in my memory. Thank you for uploading this album. The cover of Hypocrisy song "Black Forest" at the end, which is another cool oldschool death metal classic, is absolutely killer!!
I've only just discovered this... my oldest son sent me the link. It's wonderful to hear us rocking out because it's the only recording of us live I've ever heard. As Paul said, very much appreciated. Bob Cooke (Jerusalem)
I didn't even realize how rare this was when I first found it. I was just starting my deep dive into the more underground heavy seventies groups. Came across it as a bootleg CD on eBay at least 15 years ago. It doesn't even show up on Discogs - no documentation of it anywhere. After I started cleaning up recordings, I did extensive work on the source to beef up what I could. It really clears up after a few minutes and the raw power of the band shines through. A very special group from such an exciting time for heavy rock.
@@skeevysteve8245 Brilliant detective work Skeevy, and thank you so much for your hard work and heart warming compliments! Bob x
@@skeevysteve8245 Would that CD happen to be called 'Jerusalem - Live from the Archives'? Because I saw a listing for it on eBay years ago. It had jus the original debut album art except with a yellow background. Unfortunately I was not able to purchase it in time... 15 dollars! I still beat myself up over missing out on it.
@@promviolence7877 yes sir! I usually don't buy bootlegs, but I snagged that one!
