Not that i really know wtf im talking about lol, but on brakes first then downshift, but really almost at the same time (depending on rpm.) downshift will be pretty quick after starting to brake as engine braking adds to deceleration.

There are a large number of disabled veterans that have built a community around riding & many of them are not able to ride onto two wheels & required trikes. Additionally there are often seniors that have been riding their entire life’s that still want the thrill of riding without the danger that comes from being less reactive with age. If you’re a snob, don’t wave. Just remember you’re probably sticking your nose up at a senior that has years of riding experience or a veteran that finds freedom in riding after fighting for yours.

Ooooh! I feel for the guy. A few years back I over-balanced and dropped my new Versys 650 coming out of a driveway out in the boonies. Rather than wreck the bike I dropped it on my leg, which pinned me fast to the floor. I couldn't move the bike, take my boot off, or wriggle my way out. I lay there for about 15 minutes wondering who I could call to come and help me before a random dog walker stopped to remove me from my predicament 🤦‍♂️
