2014 Volkswagen Beetle brake light switch replacement.
Replacing a brake light switch on a 2014 Volkswagen beetle A5 second generation. 2012 to 2015. Maybe to 2019. Dunno. The switch has no moving parts. You have to put the back end in first under the metal hook and then it is sort of press fit in. There are two molded lines in the plastic that crush down to hold it firmly in place, then install the torx screw. It's a friend of mines car that has inoperable brake lights (stop lights). Replacing the master cylinder mounted brake light switch didn't fix the problem. The fuses are all checked with a meter and good. If anyone knows a next step, leave in comments.

just like any other liquid. You put in same amount that came out. no more or less. So you keep the same volume

Definitely isn't heavy duty. I'd have still tried to weld it back together if possible after that.

There is another plug on the other side of that "plug" it is an Allen wrench plug that drains more .the 1st plug is the "dipstick" ...you leave that out while filling back up after changing the filter and cleaning the pan . Anything running out that 1st plug is "over fill"

How ever much you drained ,put the same amount when you fill

You gotta remove one line from the radiator and drain through there, basically you remove this outlet line from the radiator and drain some fluid, then while the car is running add fluid through the dipstick until new (clean) fluid comes out of the line you removed.

To completely empty it you remove the pan and replace it then you have to get the trans to 130 degrees and you use a scanner to check the temp then you fill

How many liters you need to do a complete change for the CVT fluid? Thanks.

I think it said to fill with 3.8qts and then drain out the spill over while running, after it warmed up. Dont quote me on that. Get ahold of the factory directions

Don’t over fill, you have to get the level right

I found the factory service manual pdf online. The only thing I did different was fill from the top instead of pump in from the drain hole. There is an overflow tube that sticks up inside the drain hole. You remove the drain plug and then use an Allen key to unscrew the tube and actually drain it. The level is set by replacing the tube and drain plug, filling the specified amount, then idling to temperature. You actually pull the drain plug with the engine running, and any excess will spill over the tube and out the drain hole. Once it stops flowing, install the drain plug. The little yellow cap is not for setting the level. It would be way overfilled. Find the factory manual and download it. Find the thread in the Nissan forum, and don't do it until you understand what you are doing

Hello MIchael, Do you mind sharing URL where you could locate that factory service manual pdf online? I have 2012 Versa Sedan SV and like to do CVT flush. Appreciate it. Thanks.

Michael, to be clear - you refilled through that small hole on top that looks like a tiny dipstick? Had any issues since fluid change? I'm installing a factory reman and was wondering how I was going to pump fluid in from the bottom. Thanks.
