I hope these videos bring a spot of joy to your day, either through engaging in a creative project yourself or just taking time to unwind and watch the process unfold. All are welcome. I'm so glad you're here!❤

Thank you so much Anna, I really really enjoyed watching you create this super cute piece of artwork. I’m going to try this bubble technique out soon. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤❤
My pleasure, Mags! Thanks for watching, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. Have fun with the bubble technique. There are so many possibilities! :)
Why was this so fun???
Thank you for explaining it so well. I am new to water colour and this is so helpful . I can’t wait to try this. Can you please tell me more about the brush pen is there a certain brand ? Thank you 😊
I'm so glad you found the video helpful! As for the brush pen, I use the Faber-Castell brand, the Pitt Artist Pen Brush. You can find it at most craft stores or online. Hope that helps!
Awesome 🍄
I love your lineart!!!
Thank you so much!
Lovely ❤
This tutorial caught my eye, thank you so much! I just subscribed, number 447.
That's awesome! Thanks so much for the sub. Can't wait to share more fun tutorials with you. Happy creating! :)
@@abstractsbyannathanks so much! Oh and to answer about how I share my art, I hang it up in my front window for the neighbors to (hopefully) enjoy. I definitely want to add this to the mix! 🐈⬛🎃
@@treesapgrl That's such a great idea! I'm sure it brightens your neighbors' day--they're lucky!
😮 🤩 Love it!!!! Super satisfying to watch!!!
Thanks! So glad you enjoyed it! :)
You explain the processes so clearly and naturally. Thank you.🌿
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that feedback. :) Enjoy the word art!
Hi Anna! I am interested in making one of these journals using watercolor paper. Do you leave the strings exposed like that on the outside of the journal?
That's great! Yes, I typically leave the strings exposed. But if you'd like to cover them, you could glue another panel of paper over the top of the spine or maybe use some contact paper. Just a couple of ideas. :) Enjoy the journal making!
I love this little video..great for warming up. I love fall leaves and for the first time. I am getting ready to do a study adding falling fall leaves. Wow that was a mouthful. I love these ideas. You can also add lots of fall watercolor on the sheet and let it dry with a plastic bag and once its dry you can sketch out the fall leaves. Perfect video for Sunday first day of Fall. Thanks Maria
So glad you enjoyed the video! I love the idea of the fall-colored background with texture and leaf sketches. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your study!
Lovely. Did this last year with a perfect maple leaf, but I used it as an outline. I'll try this this year.
Awesome! Maple leaves would be so pretty! I might have to try that.
This is lovely… I wonder if acrylic would be more effective at keeping the colour in place when transferring to paper!
Thank you! Yes, I think acrylic would keep more of the color in place, but it would also create a different look overall. Just depends on what you're going for. :)
@@abstractsbyanna of course, I love the fluid look and the vibrant colours you’ve created!
Beautiful! I did that not too long ago with multiple different leaves, but it didn't turn out quite like I wanted. I'm going to try this. I love fall leaf colors, some of them are so multicolored, it's gorgeous. As an artist, I want to recreate that beauty.
Thanks so much! I love the fall colors, too. So much inspiration! Happy creating. :)
Love the idea, thanks for sharing , first time visitor😊
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
I like it
Such a nice chill idea, Will be giving this a try as soon as my watercolours arrive! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure! Enjoy your creative time! :)
Thank you for the fantastic tutorial. I'm planning on making my own art journal after watching this!
Awesome! Enjoy the process. It's such a satisfying feeling when you hold the finished journal in your hands. :)
💜💜🌈🌈🍄🍄
LOVE this!! And luckily I have a water pen/brush thingy just like the one you used here.
I love this idea and plan to give it a try later today. I love nothing better than putting watercolor on paper even though I have NO artistic talent. It's such a calming and centering activity.
That's great! I totally agree about the calming and centering effect of putting watercolor to paper. And when you're painting intuitively, just guided by what catches your attention, you'd be surprised how quickly your inner artist comes out to play! Enjoy the exercise! :)
Thank you so much Anna, I really really enjoyed watching you create this beautiful and uniquely stunning piece of artwork. I am very very impressed by your work and creativity and I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too
Thank you so much for your support and kind words of encouragement! It really means a lot. :) Glad to have you be part of this creative community!❤
Hi, Anna. I just stumbled upon your channel with this video, and I found it very helpful and inspiring (as someone who routinely churns out one watercolor disaster after another). Thank you for taking the time to share this cool idea. But now the tough decision: do I break out the watercolors immediately, or do I sit here and binge watch all your other videos first?. Wait... I'm supposed to be cleaning the basement today...
Definitely break out the watercolors! My basement hasn't been cleaned in months.😁 I'm so glad you found the video helpful, and I really appreciate the feedback--keep up the creativity!
❤❤❤
I really love this as an exercise - will definitely be trying it!! Thanks ❤
That's great! I hope you enjoy it! :)
Always wanted to learn how to create art & this has me thinking I should try. Thank you for the beginner basics!
My pleasure! I definitely think you should go for it. :)
WOW amazing !!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the chill video :3 I think I might take my watercolors out this weekend as they've been collecting dust for quite some time and I needed a little nudge
That's great! So glad you enjoyed the video--always happy to provide a gentle nudge. :)
What weight & type of watercolour paper do you use, I'm a beginner and trying to learn and I don't think I have the right weight of paper for the amount of water that is being used with the watercolours. I think I might be able to do this if I get the right paper. Thank you
Thanks for your question! It's Artist's Loft, cold press 140lb watercolor paper. It's a nice weight for most projects, including ones with a little more water. :)
This is such an interesting approach ! Thank you !
Never seen the paper palette you use.
I use Artist's Loft watercolor paper, 140lb cold press. The weight and texture work well for most projects. Thanks for asking! I'll try to remember to show the paper palette in my next video. :)
This is amazing. I love your channel and everything you do. Keep reaching for the stars
Thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement! I'm so glad you're enjoying the content. :)
I love to paint this way. No pressure and relaxing.
I could not agree more, so relaxing! :)
underrated! your paintings are awesome
Thanks so much! :)
Neat technique!
This is so cool! Can’t wait to do this with my grandkids!
Love it! Hope you all have a fun time!
Thanks for sharing the cool wrap technique! Your voice is so soothing
You're very welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video and technique :)
Thanks for the new idea
Love it! 😍
So pretty I love them! 😊
I love your cute little strawberries! 🍓 😊
Thanks so much! Strawberries are my favorite, haha. Glad you like them! :)
@abstractsbyanna they are my favorite too!
Didn't know you could do this with plastic wrap 😮 Nice! ❤
Negative space? I call that “work” 😂😅😢
Ha! Fair enough! This is the good kind of negative space. :)
That looks amazing. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thanks so much! My pleasure. :)
Did you just use water in the watercolor brush or did you use a different liquid? This is really awesome and was very calming to watch! :)
Yep! Just water in the brush. :) So glad you found the video calming. Thanks for watching!
I love this! I need to give this a try!
Absolutely! Go for it! :)
Beautiful!
Nice!
Looks like easy fun! Thank you!
That looks like a lot of fun! I haven't tried this before
It is really fun! Would definitely recommend. :)
