So, who came here from Echoes of Wisdom?
I am your 500th subscriber.
Its really fitting how this dude was the last major barrier for me to get my childhood starter from soulsilver to the modern games before the 3ds/Wii U servers shut down, I remembered him being a nightmare when I was a kid, I played white2 back then but I lost it and basically had to beat black2, and this boi was the final major obstacle as far as I was concerned, and it basically felt like a high stakes battle with the final boss of my childhood
The OST: *Excitement and adventure* The actual game: *10 hours of tutorials*
White 2 was my first ever game that I played on 3DS! We were somewhat poor, so I was excited to have a personal console to play on. I remember a good portion into the game, I figured out how to hack overpowered pokemon into the game and sort of ruined the experience for myself. I remember that, even tho I had a bunch of shiny hacked pokemon, I fell in love with this one Audino I caught around a specific area where there are balancing beams (i think??). I named him Lucas, after the Mother 3 character, and gave him a variety of psychic attacks. My brother also bred a Banette with an interesting move set and gave it to me, but im too drunk to remember right now... I remember transferring him to Sun and Moon years later because I missed him. I wonder if I can transfer them to later games! Love you, Lucas
Gamefreak had more voice acting in this song than any other mainline pokemon game ever.
Ah yes De- NO
I thought Roxie's Gym had more.. Elisa's Gym is clearly third.
Colress: Klinklang
I love it!!! Pearl u and Sapphire are the best gems
colgate man love
Recently played gen 5, colress was the best part of it
Colress might be a bad guy, but he isn't a bad guy.
REAL SHIT?!?
after this battle everytime i see a magnemite i ALWAYS expact it to go for thunder wave on the 1st turn
everybody here saying colress isnt really a bad guy are forgetting the fact that he still used kyurem to commit an actual act of terrorism on opelucid city
He's just a silly little guy
God forbid he get a little silly smh
Your honor my client pleads “IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE”

Colress you may or may not have been an antagonist when all was said and done. However, you sir will always have my personal favorite antagonist battle theme in the series for me And that is something you CAN’T disagree with😂😂
I disagree with it.
@@josevilla943 However... I DISAGREE!
Digital World surprise digimon and megaman bn and starforce don't have this theme.
playing this during science class already got an a++++++
Thanks Ymfah
Pov: you vs google
i mean his japanese name is achroma
One thing that I'll always appreciate about Colress as a character is that he's not even a villain in terms of his motivations. He's a person that is dedicated to science to an extent that he'll work with whoever he can to further his own research. The only reason he's even working with Plasma in B2W2 is because they have access to rare Pokemon for him to study and improve upon. After the events of the game he starts working on his own and even ends up aiding the Ultra Recon Squad in Alola. He's just such has such a good character design and motivation. Easily one of my all time favorite Pokemon characters
I'd still say he's a villan. Pursuing knowledge no matter how harmful it can be to others is called scientific perversion. But the main idea in relation to villans in Black and White is that, well, the world isn't just black and white. I mean, no one is 100% evil or 100% good; Colress wasn't exactly bad to the core, but he didn't really care if he was harming someone with his actions. At least in the end he changed his mind and became a better person. N's case is also similar: he had a pure heart and great intentions, no wonder the legendary chooses him, but he wanted to uphold his truth or his ideals in a bad way, not paying attention to the evil force his team was and how he shouldn't force his worldview onto others without considering other visions. So yeah, Black and White's villans were amazing indeed, way more complex than the previous ones. To be honest, I even think that Ghetsis is also complex, but that's another story.
@@capuzdepenix210 I'd like to hear that story on Ghetsis, once you have time ofc
@@PikablueRay Ghetsis is just bad to the bone Lmao. He didn’t have a good reason for world domination and was just fueled by selfishness and greed. He just wanted to rule the world, and not in a just or benevolent way. He was evil, through and through.
@@PikablueRay Of course! So, I think Ghetsis is also complex, even if his actions are 100% evil. There are two reasons for this: the way he behaves and his father and son relation with N. To start off, he behaves very differently from other pokémon villans. Sure, he has his fare share of similarities with them, such as treating pokémon like tools, and his goal of regional domination is pretty cliché, but his strategy is completly new. I mean, most pokémom villans often envision themselves as gods even before their plans succeed, and try to win by pure force. Ghetsis was different. He new he couldn't rule Unova just being strong. He understood that if he wanted to control people's lives, he had to control their hearts, their desires, their emotions. So, for years and years, he created a villanous team that would do everything to look like they were the heroes. Grunts dressed as medieval knights, administrators dressed as priests (Ghetsis himself dresses as a goddamn wizard), powerful speeches delivering a narrative that people who own pokémon are evil and are making those poor creatures suffer... And the most important part: A true hero who fights for the team. Ghetsis was so obsesssed with his goal of domination that he had a son solely for this purpose. First he left N alone in the woods, making him develop a really close relation with wild pokémon (and somehow a psychic ability that allows him to talk to them, but I don't think that Ghetsis expected that). Than he would leave him alone in his room, without contacting other people, while Ghetsis brought him pokémon that suffered in the hands of bad people. Ghetsis made N develop a great empathy for pokémon, but made everything possible to prevent him from developing any kind of empathy towards humans. Furthermore, Ghetsis prevented N from knowing any kind of pokémon that had a trainer and was happy with it. In the end, Ghetsis created a man with a pure heart and a great desire to make a better world to all the pokémon, even if it meant there would be consequences to the humans. So, as we know, N's heart was pure, so he was able to befriend Reshiram/Zekrom and have it fight alongside him. Even if it meant that Ghetsis had to make N the king of team plasma, forcing himself to pose as a humble servant and not as the mastermind that rules everything he thinks he deserved to be, that still was the perfect plan, because he has now got a legendary indirectly working for him, and a true hero on his side. This just shows how much of a genius Ghetsis is: he managed to bypass a legendary pokémon's moral standarts, and have it being used for his own evil goals, thus proving himself that pokémon (and humans) are, indeed, just tools. At least until the player character awoke the other legendary and defeated Team Plasma. Well, that was BW1's Ghetsis, and I'll talk about BW2's Ghetsis in the next comment
@@capuzdepenix210 Wow I had a blast reading this. Nice job sir and thanks very kindly for taking your time to do this.

That's kind of a sad way to see it. I am always hoping for better and grander bops every single gen. But that doesn't mean the classics aren't there.
@@JackiW idk, I just think they're peak :p
I know it's somewhere in the comments already but this theme is technically Zelda's Lullaby backwards, which is key to the theming of the game. Just saying.
what is the theme of the game
i love hearing the low brass coming in (as a low brass player) bc we dont get much spotlight so for us to take the lead in a zelda song as powerful as this is amazing!
I’m a Tuba player and I feel yoi
The game that got me to fall in love with soundtracks!
Considering that this is supposed to be a villain you're battling, I didn't expect it to be such a sweet bop! Pokémon Co. really outdid themselves with Gen 5, the music is both cool _and_ artful!
Less of a villain, more of a guy willing to do anything to answer his scientific question Accountable, yes, evil, no
He isn't a villian. Colress is a scientist who works for Neo Plasma because he just wants to excell in science. Even if it means helping ghetsis. Also, his name refers to the word "colorless". Aka neutral.
@@adamtheriault6743 Exactly.
chaotic neutral, pretty much. he doesn't do it because "its evil", he does it because its his job and he cares about nothing else. NOTHING.
@@adamtheriault6743 Well, there was that one time where he proclaimed that he'd gladly destroy the entire world for his research. Someone willing to kill everyone for their own personal gain sounds pretty evil to me.
