soundsandsoul is the alias of Cesar A. Hernandez, trumpeter and composer from Los Angeles, California. When he was 10 years old he began taking music lessons from renowned Oaxacan music director E. Maqueos.
The rest of his formal music education took place at A. Hamilton High, then at CSUN, as a student of Howie Shear.
Since then, Cesar has remained active, carving a name for himself in composing, arranging and performing for anything. He records for independent artists across the local scene too.
Throughout his 15 years of playing, Cesar has had the privilege to make music with Bobby Shew, Clare/Brent Fischer Orchestra, Susana Harp, Antonia Bennett, Wolf Woodcock, Jonny Kosmo, J. Bonigno, Andy Wolfson, and more.
Cesar also produces his own music. He hopes to make his commercial musical debut in 2022.
