Paul’s pants are fantastic
awesome...saw at them The Palladium in the early 90's
Rough but so pure -- thanks! Best teenage love song since Violent Femmes.
I've found out that a lot of my favorite "love songs/songs about girls/relationships" are actually about other things, just defaulting to the metaphor and "rock and roll is about girls, man..." thing. This song is about the frustrations of Stamey trying to get the first dB's record mastered the way he wanted it to sound and having to call the mastering studio all the time... Jill was the receptionist who he had to bug trying to get through to the mastering engineer...
Thank You for the smile of the day... Now, if I can only get the f#@!ing tune outa my head...✌️ Keep On Keepin On... Happy Holidays and Good Health!!
❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️
Sir David Minehan on guitar!
Ahahahahahaha some asshole flagged this video as having age-restricted content based on RUclips "community guidelines," and RUclips agreed. I just sent in an appeal.
Great job haha
Fantastic quality, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Esther. iPhone 8! I was impressed by the job it did without blowing out the sound.
Cynicor ah, good work! It’s a shame to come across great footage only to be ruined by bad sound.
Thanks ever so to whoever captured this . . .
It was my pleasure!
" heading out to San Francisco definitely not LA"
Impressive fight 😀
lyrics please))
You so scared.. Send that thing on go go go
I saw Chris play this at the 40 Watt Club in Athens in, I think, 1993. You guys sing together like two old best friends. Love it !
I hit thumbs up before I heard a note. Who would have thought we'd be fortunate enough for these two to come back. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Saw the show the night before at World Cafe Live Philly Dec. 5th. Incredibly satisfying.
UGH! I don't have enough adjectives to express my happiness at how amazing it is to hear this song played live. I was never able to catch them in concert back in the 80s or 90s. I'm glad they were able to reunite and do it soooo well. Play on, please!
One of my absolute favorite songs! This is what I called punk rock. It was only small college stations that even knew about these guys and a friend/crush got me listening to them and I haven't stopped since. Solid rock music and poetic lyrics, perfection.
from the greatest christmas album of ALL TIME! www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QR1P74/ref=sr_1_19_rd?ie=UTF8&child=B000QPNZ6U&qid=1414194174&sr=1-19%3C/a%3E
if you don't think so.....you may be more geared for Winger's "Seventeen"..... eyes roll....
if you grew up in the 80's...all the cool music was "left of the dial".....get it now?!!
Real rock n' roll my friends......
Awesome f'ing show last week.
Wow, so freakin' perfect. Grandpa never sat down all night.
Man! Love that bass rift! Go Tommy!
Ahh....the figments of a misspent youth, along with whichever points we've gravitated to since then. Can't say I appreciate the sentiment on the banner on stage though, however much post modern sarcasm is, or is not involved in the statement. Can I say this? If I was present I might have even felt moved enough to express the same position even more forcefully by saying "that's no father of mine!". Whether the legend was in reference to the Godfather of Soul or some other even higher paternal figure....
Love love love this band, the bass is the best~
Thanks for sharing this! One of the many highlights of a magical show.
Thank you kindly, Cynicor. If you have any others from the same show, PLEASE SHARE!!
I did three. This one, Christmas Time ("Christmas Time" - Peter Holsapple and Chris Stamey) and Lonely Is As Lonely Does ("Lonely Is As Lonely Does" by Chris Stamey and Peter Holsapple). Enjoy!
Just wonderful!
Sweet. Who are those guys?
Two of my heroes -- the singer-songwriters of the original dB's. This was from a show in Brooklyn last night THAT I COULD NOT ATTEND >:-[
What a great sound. I am really digging the horn section in this track.
i know her!
