This band was one of my favorites in the 80s and still is as good today as anything from this era

What a great debut. So many Australian bands have made world class debut albums and this one Icehouse by Flowers (then known) is a great example

First cassette tape I ever bought was Man of Colours in late 1987... played it though my PYE walkman well over 1000 times. First live gig I saw was Icehouse at The Empire on Hindly St (Adelaide) in around 1993. Still so awsome to this day.....

Great Band

I saw Flowers at the Bondi Lifesaver 1979. I was underage, there was Kevin Borich and Jimmy and the Boys. but I recall Flowers were the best act. I remember 'Funtime' lol.

Sounds awesome would have loved to hear “ Nothing To Do” and “Street Cafe”

The 1st album, my fave of all and then they do Iggy/David's Funtime, what a show. Though Primitive Man is also an excellent record too. So many great songs on those first 2 albums and they are a superb live band. First saw them around 1980 in Auckland NZ.

Icehouse - still so good

That fact that Wheeler has been drumming for Icehouse since 1986 is nothing short of remarkable...and he looks just great despite the years. A great percussionist without any doubt!

I always thought The Flowers was a much better name. I saw 'Icehouse' in London in the 1980's.

Should’ve played the album all the way through and ended the set with Paradise Lost as per track listing.

Who is this drummer? He’s transformed the music! It has a drive it’s never had! Seen 3 times now and it’s been best with Mr X the drummer. The start to icehouse is just fantastic
