Betty Alberge who played Edna Cross was almost know to many as the character of Florrie Lindley, who ran the corner shop in the black & white days of 'Coronation Street'.
As Paul Got More Successful he got more obnoxious and wrapped in his own little world. Plus he doesn't want Annabelle getting a job. Wants her home like a good housewife. I've said it many times with soap couples. What Does She See in Him?
From the time when they showed the end credits on a blue background rather than the close that they did later on I guess so too. Also the cast list is slightly different from before and I presume later on too. The writers name is given which some did not. The usual actors and then producer and director names and then executive producer as well too. Thank you anyway-amazing to think that this is now more than 40 years ago old really-yikes somehow though too!
From when the end credits were on a blue background before later showing the close instead. Also too, there is no mention of who the writer of the episode is which I know they did later on too. Odd really of course?
@@kmully8873 Got to disagree with you on that. Hendry was once a great actor, but in his scenes on Brookside he acts like some random drunk they have pulled in off the street to do the role. Admittedly I think Michelle isn't the most convincing actress, but Marie, there's no denying that she's a very convincing actress.
I think I can vaguely remember why Alan was pacing around and wanting to know which way is South. He was wanting to plant some flowers, to spell his and his wife's name (Sam) for the time they would be married. I can't believe its 40 years old this episode, wow, it's frightening how fast time passes.
This was my Mum's Birthday but I don't think we saw this at the time though. I did watch the series at times-it had some great acting and writing too. Thank you anyway!!
There are all unbelievable videos so far I loved them very enjoyable too watch am wonder if you got some more of your interesting videos I would loved to watch more of them have you got when John Clark holding hostage I didn’t watch that one because I was so young at the time also plus once I would loved are when Matthew and Emily dead from the crashed. Susannah death when she was pushed by her husband. Ron Dixon and his family and friends holding hostage. Leanne spies the acid in Jacqui eyes. Jackie and Shelley cat fight. The drug dealer round the close holding hostage. Ron Dixon shoot the wrong burglary. Jacqui and Katie cat fight in the court case. Bev sets the fire the Bangkok storylines. Sammy leaved her daughter home alone. The millennium club exploded. And also plus Nikki been raped that’s would be great if you have got them
Kids shouldn't even be playing with wiring Marie! 🙄🤷
As I wasn't born yet, I keep expecting Sheila and Bobby to be called Barbara and Jim. Strange that when I remember Damon (only just) and Barry
Marie Jackson what an incredible character she was.
Joanh was great
I like watching brookside
Barry lad

Poor Barry & Terry 😵💫😬
I’m loving these - thanks for uploading. They are releasing them on STV - but I don’t have the patience to wait for the weekly release of 5 episodes 😄
Rose's accent is shocking
I was born when this episode of Brookside was on Channel 4 on 24th July 1984.
Alan was hilarious in Brookside.
Ricky Tomlinson is truly one of the great actors. A joy to witness
Thanks so much for uploading this to RUclips

Get out While You Can Heather. That's not a real job I'm a Doctor 🙄
“They should have dug up your back garden”. They did. 11 years later… and a body was found…
But it wasn't Petra's body they found!.

When they used a blue background on the end credits of course, although later they would show the close instead so too. Thank you anyway!
Love brookside
Sad to see Ian Hendry like this. The drink seemed to have really affected his health at this point.
He seems to be be the best actor in this scene, unlike some of the others.

I can remember the Headmaster been on Brookside a few years later. He played David Crosby, Max Farnham's father in law.
Andy Partridge... Fish, lead singer from Marrillion... 🎶 Do you remember, dancing in styletoes in the snow 🎶 🎤😲 🎵

"Alright lads, I thought we might have a little chat". Sounds rather ominous for Barry & Terry!
It's hard to believe that was nearly 40 years ago

Not seen these for a long long time-thank you anyway for the memories of course!!
I love Michelle's character.
They really did a good job making Southport look like Spain
Why didn’t Kevin take Harry to the hospital
“Turkey neck” lmao
Bobby was a Bully
The welfare officer was in Corrie was a relative of Betty turpin
Poor Barry getting cockblocked by Charlie from Casualty lol
Brookie classic
Noticed how Bobby makes a beeline for Alan Partridge's girlfriend.
Must be nice to be able to turn down a job that is “decent money”
Brilliant acting
Joseph and today
Get the rolller out on those ceilings!
Much pefer old episodes of brookside
Better script writers 🤔😳🤣☝️❣️🇬🇧
