They bought lucas film because it was insanely popular (with males) and then turned around and ignored the fan base and sought different fans. In their tunnel vision attempt to bring in women, they disenfranchised the original fanbase and destroyed their multi billion dollar prize. I loved this episode, but still not understanding Mae and Osha. Mae was ready to turn on Qimir cause she reconnects with Osha, then she turns on her and leaves her for dead 20 minutes later. I really like the show don’t get me wrong, but for them to be the title characters they are just not making sense.

What a delightful episode, really loved it. Subscribed to FerrixPod. Didn't even know they were around, always looking for new and fresh content without negativity and hate. Keep it going!

Not gonna lie, there are a lot of arbitrary critics out there about the acolyte. The problem since disney is, they never had a sense of feeling for the heavy weight of the heir they take. Bob Igor literally only cares about money. And the show directors of the series seem to be more interested in the sexuality of two droids instead of the burden of continuing this big Story. Its easy to never be invested into Star Wars and suddenly say: ohh look they all hate watching and stuff. But the way the dialogues are written is so poor in this series. The general way of Disneys storytelling in Star Wars deprived it all it heart and soul. All the reasons why people love the show were treated unrespektful and with much disregard. Disney destroyed a lot of my childish curiosity about Star Wars and the depresses rest... well that depressed rest is obviously hate watching indeed. But how can someone understand that just started watching Star Wars in the recent five years? Disney will hopefully loose Star Wars entirely and some better Studio has to drag the ship out the wreckage. But nothing Disney did added anything positive to the story.

I love all the insights into the show! I'm personally really enjoying it so far. Great discussion on the episode. All the massivly negative online discourse is a little discouraging. I hope people can look past some of their ideas of what they think Star Wars HAS to be and just enjoy a unique piece of star wars media. Great video!!!

Also, I'm sure you've come across it or have been told, but there was a writer I believe that said this episode was so short only because it was filmed over such a long set that it NEEDED to be 2 episodes. So it was intentionally cut at that point because "it made the most sense at that scene" to all of our detriment lol

99% of people don’t care about the diversity politics of disney. We dont like lack lustre story telling. People dont universally dislike all of starwars. Andor and the early seasons of mando are nearly unanimously praised. Discounting the criticism is just lowing the bar for future releases. Its not blind hate, its disappointment from knowing how good it can be and falling short of not just og lucas content but the good disney additions I have mentioned above.

Nice to see some discussion in good faith. I'm enjoying the show but a flashback episode followed by a shorter one kinda robs it of any momentum. Might be worth a rewatch once it's all out

Loved this episode and the show as a whole so far! It’s nice to have a show focused on a mystery in Star Wars especially with so many dark side elements. Excited to see where Leslye’s storytelling takes us next.

Osha's strapped in to her chair braced for impact when she glances at an untethered Mech-nic crate... tossed around the bridge now, she unlocks it with her trusty Swiss Army droid.... Yay, a spacesuit, a star-warsie helmet, and some mag-boots! But now ship's breaking up! Osha struggles onto the ''wing'', surfing atmosphere like it's Dark Star... and look there's that fire the script needs to cause a flashback (lots of oxygen here)... Then a leap of faith (the force?)... a windy free fall... a cool parachute... big shot of the flaming inferno below as she floats onto a desolate planet. More drama? Do the damaged chute trope and a high speed impact into the snow. She's got a sprained ankle oh no, and the Jedi save her from hungry space Wampapotomus. Yes it's still ridiculous, but at least it connects her skillset to survival. It's epic, and It's narrowly plausible.

Film is subjective when it comes to peoples preferences. The acolyte is the first show in history that is objectively, terrible and offensive.

Omg - eight and a half minutes of how exciting it was to be in a room with someone hired to write a star wars show and came up with law and order: space unit. Not one word about the show because - well, exactly. Two cliffhangers - vader rip off standing on a rock turns his saber on for no reason, wookie walking into his spaceship cave. Can't wait for... porgs drinking tea, the silly guy being the powerful bad guy a la Yoda, whatever other foolishness that doesn't mean anything.

I was iffy of The Acolyte altho @ First.. I was the most excited about this.. But after the 1st 2 episodes.. lol I am in.

I’m enjoying the series so far it gives off a Roshmon effect so and it doesn’t give everything away. It looks like more people need to watch Akira Kurosawa films and Kill Bill to appreciate this. The characters can come off as a bit stoic but that’s the main purpose this is the High Republic when the jedi are in the height of their power. It’s a lot like Clone Wars and Rebels in the sense of just meeting characters and as the series goes on watching them have character development.

Comedy is always subjective so it works for some people and not for others. So far I’ve been enjoying the journey it’s my third favorite series. Ahsoka and Andor are my favorite.
