You need to have better aim when using the phantom and you cant strafe tap like with the vandal. One missed bullet wit the phantom can get you killed since you have to stay in position longer to compensate for damage falloff and get more bullets out. If you're supporting someone it's good gun. If it was 2750 instead of 2900 maybe it would be balanced.

just keep practicing deathmatch and having consistent warmups, im asc 1 and what helped me rank up through gold and silver is just pure aim. once you get to plat you should start to watch videos on game sense n stuff like that.

In long range, phantom is unforgiving because you need to tap head twice with phantom. You need to headshot twice because the damage falls off a lot in 30 plus meters. Despite its faster recoil recovery rate (0.37s compared to 0.45s of vandal), phantom is tricky due to its faster bullet and spray. That’s why I never spray with phantom in long range gun fights, but I think phantom is a good gun for duelists when they entry.
