I used skin graft during the fight without voidling spwaning, so it really was just Gwydian. It is different in the definitive edition and voidlings will appear no matter what.

Had issues on classic.. imagine the issues on tactician! Oh well, took me a couple tries. Had to teleport him away and keep him in a corner when dealing with blobs.

Does it still works? I have done a new playthrough recently, with the definitive edition, and even when I teleported Gwydian (I TP him to the tent nearby, which used to work too) he just rush back into the fight (runing through necrofire ><). It seems to me that, in the definitive edition, you cannot avoid the voidlings spawn anymore.

@@shyl4344 I place a character near the gate so when I teleport Gwydian the dialouge triggers.

This build should still work but, now that the Helminth system is available, i would make few modifications to it. Silence would probably be my go-to subsume (in place of Ash's 4 that i don't use there) as it would negate Acolytes/LIches/Sister's abilities. Another good subsume would be Hildryn's Pillage if you don't want to rely on Brief Respite to regen shield for shield gating (though the short range in this build would make using pillage a bit tricky). If pillage is not used, i would then replace steel charge with brief respite in the aura slot. For Nyx, I use this: i.imgur.com/vxU4HmT.jpg She can strip 100% resistances, have a good range on her chaos and can easily regen shield thanks to Pillage that i subsume in place of mind control. If you are not bothered by cast time, you can replace natural talent by augur message for a bit more duration.

@@hurricane7727 doesn't change the fact that it`s a bandade mod plus besides the energy part, that`s how the ability should work. I could come up with a better augment idea than that.

I don't have the build for this exact moment in my playthrough but the final build was this: imgur.com/a/N7FP0iD Note that this is probably outdated (i believe some changes have been made to lone wolf for instance) and you might not get as much AP. A similar build would still be quite efficient though.

@@Cagry The video date from before released the definitive edition, so yes that would be mostly classic (though some changes have affected classic edition too i think). As i said, you can probably still do something similar in the definitive edition, especially if you use Fane.

you can see the build at 55:50. It's a bit outdated though, as i would probably replace Ash's 4 by a Helminth ability now (silence to negate acolyte can be good, as would be ensnare to group mobs if you have no other means to do so or pillage to restore shield)

pretty much how my first playthrough went. Used the cave entrance to have my characters make their turn, go in, rest and come back. Infinite free turns and one hell of a dumpster fire

i do think the blobs spawn is linked to Gwydian. You can also avoid the spawn by using teleport on him and hiding him in the tent in the nearby area. I haven't done this fight in a while though so maybe it has been patched since.

the blobs are triggered by him casting a spell. so if you can get him to NOT cast, i.e. killing everything before he can even start his turn or trapping him out of range (like the tent trick), you can prevent them from spawning

Lore wise the void is attracted by source so using source spells attract it. Game-wise your characters can freely use the source but when it's a NPC it always attarcts the void...

it's not that bad but since you cannot put some of the best melee mods on it (blood rush, weeping wounds...) it lags a bit behind on high level enemies. Also, when you use iron staff so does your twin. It is imho inferior to having the twin applies statuses with a nukor and thus priming condition overload for my melee.

@@shyl4344 Do i need blind rage and 66% umbral intensify to make his iron staff damage decent? It's just so i dont have to rely on my twin spamming nukor

@@metalheadzaki damage from iron staff will scale with power strenght, so yes if you want to rely on iron staff, you will need these mods. Still, if you use condition overload on your iron staff, applying status with a nukor would boost your damages even more. But if you are in iron staff mode, so is your twin so you would have to use your nukor, then switch to iron staff, which seems a bit clunky to me. Using only the iron staff, without relying on status for condition overload, will do fine on most missions so if you have fun with the iron staff and don't plan on doing long steel path survival, you can definitly go with it.

using invisible frames gets dull quickly to be honest. I am having much more fun doing steel path survivals with Mag, Mirage, Banshee and Nyx lately. Especially using the new Helminth system to tweak builds.

i think i got something like 4-5 steel essences. The kronen build was: zupimages.net/up/20/30/2ws8.jpg I had to use drifting contact as i can not sustain using Naramon with frost.

@@shyl4344 Removing Icy Avalanche would be a good idea then, since the shields aren't high enough to save you, but are too high for good shield gating?

@@rbyt4818 yes i have removed it since then (i replaced it with handspring). The decaying dragon key still helps for a good shield gating though.

Actually, i apply viral (that will buff my damage done up to 350%) and heat (that will reduce enemies armor by 50%) with my kuva nukor (which also applies radiation for cc) while my melee applies slash (that bypass armor) and toxin (that bypass shield). Toxin is also a nice DOT and is often underestimate.

Ty. i like to always be around 75% life support and as you can see in the video i actually never really struggled with the life support there. If i let it drop too much i tend to forget about it and i often end up with critical life support and having too extract ^^'

@@shyl4344 K then btw I'm on console since I'm waiting for steel path to drop One question: how frequent are the solo spawns? Since I always run out of enemies in normal mode.

@@argentumseth8878 in steel path you get the same number of mobs weither you are solo or in group so it's unlikely you will run out of enemies then.

If i remember well, the smaller voidling do not give xp or loot, though you can get some nice loot from the big ones. Still, xp and loot were not really a problem in my playthrough.

To be clear, you should not do this if you want to maximize your XP. You get 7500 XP for each of the giant blobs and there are 6 of them. If you do this, you miss out on 45,000 XP.
