OSHA is nothing more than another government agency looking to bring in revenue. If it’s truly about safety you would think they would be about educating not just handing out fines. They’re just as bad as our law enforcement these days. They have also turned into policing for profit.

A simple harness and lanyard would have avoided a major issue. If the guy in the bucket doesn't own the business, what you have there in an employee who safety is being put at risk for someone else's profit who glad to put the guy at risk rather than throwing a couple hundred bucks for the right equipment . All the $#!+ talkers on this thread would be the first to file suit and cry victim if they fell in the river with a power drill. The initial setting up of safety equipment is always gonna be more sketchy than the day to day assuming tgsts what theyre doing, but this is obviously unreasonable.
