Hi, thanks for your watch and comment. After having a mate look at the crankshaft it was bent beyond reasonable repair! Both counter shafts were also bent and there was a big crack in the engine block - safe to say this poor Honda went to engine heaven.. I did keep the broken rod and piston as a wall hanger for the shed though!!

@@aussiebushmechanic2534 ok thanks so much for that. I just bought one of these engines which came on the greenfield. I just bought. It is smoking bad. Do you think its worth pulling apart and putting new rings? I Guess thats whey its smoking, Thanks

@@marinetrax I would for sure, they are a great little engine! The main reason I did that video and had hopes of reviving it. Rings and a gasket/rebuild kit would be cheaper that a chinese copy and the engine will easily outlast one!

@@bodyguard8986 hey mate, good question, pretty sure I used my big rattle gun and a puller, or just loosened the bolt then put some gentle upwards leverage on the flywheel off the case and hit the bolt head square with a good hammer!

Hi, Thanks for the watch, please give me a like if you haven’t already. Pretty sure it’s a long bonnet one, a little later. I swapped that motor into my older one (also long bonnet) and it fits good, just clashes with the oil filter a bit. I plan to swap a Honda vee twin 20hp into it when I get around to it haha, see if I can squeeze it in haha

We got it by accident, we were fishing for other species and he got hooked.

Remove the flywheel, then there should be two bolts holding the starter motor down.

Thanks for the comment @GR8Tmate, ran low on oil and kept driving until the engine failed. It was at least 10 years old but good Honda’s never die. I still have the parts and might get to putting it back together one day!
