I think with and without vocals inspire very distinct and purposeful feelings. While the lyrical version is dropped at what feels like not the best times.. I recently saw someone suggest, the lyrics have only ever dropped in the story when the whole of the Turali continent has come together on something. The first being Wuk Lamat's ascension to the throne and the second during the efforts to bolster the train. It may not land the way it may have intended to, but with that context I can see the importance of the lyrical element. Lyrics in this game have been usually reserved for reverent situations or deeply emotional ones, from the transition of Sephirot to phase 2 or evocation of the Primals from ARR to Present.

Kept on saying this to people, not that I hate Akino. It’s just her singing style didn’t fit with the melody and pace of the song which ruined it.

As someone who's lost a parent, the lines about "nothing left unspoken" and the like cut so deeply for me, I don't think I've ever openly cried at any piece of media quite like I did there. And the lines about "one's appearance reflecting the happiest moments of their life" were no accident before that scene, just such a masterfully done emotional gut punch.

I loved Wuk Lamat ever since she appeared in the last patch story before DT! And I loved her, DT's story and all.

@@Twocoolman115 no it not, there is literally nothing interesting about her, if u like these kido type of characters then well be my guess, but she doesn't deserve to be in ff14, thankfully the devs listen to the fans and she is even hated in Japan so u bet they are not gonna include her in any future expansions, she will fade into irrelevancy, like there is nothing against people who like her but I swear some people eat everything this game gives them, dawntrail is just an experiment it not what they gonna take the story forward, I mean Yoshi p said it himself in Jesse cox's interview he said "they will take the story ahead based on fans feedback to dawntrail" so yes and consider people hate this character so much especially in Japan then yeah, this character is bye bye which it good riddance, we don't need a kids character who have zero growth and all of there growth is just let's all do it togather 🤦 don't get me wrong I love cliche characters 😂😂 I don't mind them at all I mean I played a tons of jrpgs like a tons and jrpgs have so much of those but at the same time these characters also have some substance they have a tremendous character development and they go through a lot, and they face some ugly shit 😆😆 like real ugly shit 😂 and that what makes them interesting is u see a different side of them outside of there basic side u see in the beginning, while wuk is basically like them but without any of the substance and development, she have development I am not gonna be blind and say she doesn't but it no where near as in depth as other characters, she is just forced character that the writer have a huge boner for, and she repeat the samething throughout the entire of the expansion like wtf how can people thing that a great character 😅 I know everyone have an opinion but come on do u guys just want the barebones characters.
