I have placed this observation in many other places. READ CICERO!! He describes this mechanism rather closely. He, an orator & Roman Senator, had zero backdrop to even conjure this. Hmmmm???? Cicero was discussing political structures and used this description as an example as to how sometimes simple needs (political stability) might require complex mechanisms to maintain them.

Stop with the scratches and fake lines already. If one of these intricate machines existed 2000 years ago there must have been many copies made.
