I to this day know three things about Ice Hockey. The Stanley Cup, Wayne Gretzky and The Mighty Ducks. But I loved this game. It’s in my top 5 NES games easy.

At the time, Blades of Steel was probably the best hockey game out there on the NES. That is until Sega Genesis released a game called NHL Hockey in 1991. The company that made that game was called Electronic Arts. I still have the original box and cartridge for that game lol.

I actually have this video game cartridge and a huge bunch of other games. Along with the NES game system from the 80’s. I also have the original Sega game system with a lot of games cartridges. Makes me glad I saved everything.

I remember being confused for a long time about how to stop anything during the penalty shot. I was hitting every direction possible and mashing the A button. Evidently it's a direction plus the B button 😑. Of course it's in the manual but I was stupid and didn't bother to look it up afterwards, lol

Why it was a fun game was because it was easy to play. Pick up the remote and play. Today’s game you have to punch a series of buttons to pass. Yes old man typing here lol
