A contemporary? Still, ? folk-rock? band...? Inspite of my love of ALL GENRES OF MUSIC ( well NOT too much bag pipes or John Philip Sousa, and His Annoyingly LOUD Marching Band with Equally Annoying Majorettes...) I am a new comer, to you and your band- I listened to Degeneration- arrived here via Gene Clark of The Byrds fame- I AM STILL, ALWAYS, FOREVER, A BYRD-HEAD, AND ALL THE MEMBERS SOLO STUFF- Gene Clark, had a for want of a better word- beautiful singing voice and a talent for penning poignant love songs...Next to my husband, Leonard Cohen's my man...Gene had sad eyes- looking at photos his eyes seemed so full of sorrow as though he was the only one in the crowded room who could see the little demon, crouched and grinning, waiting in the corner- I left a question some months back on another channel concerning the cause of his death and the "love of his life" - I asked if he committed s.? And about his life- the women he made music with, cherished, loved, had kids with, etc- if you've got a moment I'd appreciate a mini biography. I really enjoy YOUR music too. I wondered if "bone" meant you play bottle-neck guitar- Elmore James or Mississippi Fred McDowel- I think I misspelled his name! I am "uber" keen on the Blues and especially that era- America a bit before the Depression- after W.W.1 - my dream job would be that of the musicologist- gaining access to those unknown families, black and white, who lived far away from town and got together and made "hootch" and played whatever was lying around- ! My dysfunctional parents, may they at last, find peace, gave me a love for music- well, not my dad's frippin bagpipes! Nice to "meet" you. Namaste from Canada, NOT Toronto but very close and if I could afford the cut-throat, highly immoral rents, I'd persuade my hubby to move house...I love the place- outside of Tibet, TO. is home to the most displaced Tibetans than any other place on the globe- Bless Them and His Holiness, the Dalai Lama.
