Have you ever had to change the propeller or the motor on your fluval 4?

Just cleaned mine on Monday plugged it in and nothing happened thought it may just pop on whenever but never did tried unplugging and plugging it back in nothing happened so I opened rinsed more sand out of it also took the propeller out which was a bit gunky rinsed that off and rinsed the chamber out put it back together then plugged it in and it’s working fine now lol these things sometimes want to give you headaches for no reason lol

I just bought mine and it was not working but i could here the motor humming. Did everything you showed, walllah we are back in action

Spindle on the magnetic impeller broke, did a replacement now it won’t continuously spin it bounces, and cuts off, and has no power behind it. As soon as I touch the fan it cuts off don’t know what to do.

I took like a 20 year break from salt but I'm staring back up a little bit. I ain't ganna switch my channel up or nothing like that but im diggin my little nano. Most saltwater channels are already up and running so it will be nice to see someone starting all over again building up your tanks and channel. I'll be watching

I had that happen to me lol i took my fish out put them all in a quarantine tank and nuke the main tank for 30 days I put a hole bottle of copper in there never saw ich or any parasites/fungus again. I treated my fish in quarantine for 2 months and I treated for everything including worms

my fx4 still ain't working. i cleaned it thoroughly. took motor out, cleaned impeller and shaft, put it back on. but it's not priming. im getting some shakes in outlet pipe. but the impeller doesn't seem to be rotating. i inspected there was no physical damage to it. the fx4 is on as i can hear some sounds and in motor little heat is there. can someone please enlighten. do i just need new impeller. it's been 1 year since running and i haven't changed the impeller. does it require a yearly replacement?

My FX6 wouldn’t turn on after I cleaned it and plugged it back in. I took of the the impeller housing unit at the bottom, gave it a good rinse and scrub with a tooth brush, put it back on, plugged it back in and it worked! Thank you God!🙏

Did the phosgard work for u?

I was super excited when I found your video because it’s the IDENTICAL issue I have. FX4 stopped working after water change. I have tried everything you did. That’s where my story diverges from yours. It still doesn’t work. This thing is clean as a whistle. I’ve lubed the impeller. The whole thing hums like it’s working, but I get zero flow. Very frustrating.

Thank you for the video! I changed the media in my FX4 and plugged it in - not working. I will take it back down again and clean the motor. I’m hoping that’ll fix the problem. 👍🏽

Do not unplug it as it will stop working only till it purges air out if u unplug and plug back in it will keep turning off till it purges air just leave it plugged in it will go back on

Thank you for the video, I’m experiencing this right now too. How did you fill the filter before turning it on? Just open the intake? I’m always pouring water in from the tank and it gets everywhere!

It's gonna be a sad day when the plug in for the disliked videos stops working. And this is a good example... "Oh I cleaned my filter and it randomly started working" What about the filters that are cleaned and still not working, what's the solution to that? What exactly of the stuff that you did made it "work again"..
