Hello Gang! Welcome to Restoration video number 20! Hard to believe it, but I'm still here making videos.
This one was rough. When I saw it at the antique mall I thought "That'll make a great restoration project!" Sure there was a little rust on the bare metal and the paint was bad but nothing some citric acid couldn't handle. Boy was I wrong.
The citric acid got rid of the surface rust but only revealed the bigger problem. All of the bare metal surfaces on the iron body were badly pitted.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, I got to work with the 60 grit paper and a sanding block. I sanded. And sanded. And sanded. It went on for hours. It went on until the sweat poured down my face and ...
