In case you have not noticed the government is working with real estate investors and developers to run low and middle class people out of Long Beach so they can raise the rents take away your single family homes and destroy them and build more apartments with sky high rents.

the homeowner is a scumbag. as canvasser was leaving, he demand a stranger's phone. who the fuck is he to demand someone property. secondly he charges the canvasser and canvasser defends himself. the homeowner violated multiple laws. he also violated this canvassers civil rights. to attack someone for doing a political activity is a federal rights violation. that homeowner may not have a home anymore

This is my first ever RUclips comment but since this is local. When I used to Canvas and collect signatures back when I was fresh out of high school they were very clear about us leaving when a homeowner asked us to. This homeowner doesn't want to talk to you. The cavaser is standing on their property when the video starts. In the beginning he's facing the homeowners so he's not walking away. Just based on the son's reaction there's no way in hell you are going to get anybody to believe that was the first time he asked you to leave. I would be surprised to find out that canvasser did not commit a crime here. This makes the recreational legalization movement look bad there's no way around that. IF you were really canvassing the neighborhood then you should prove that you actually got one of the neighbors signatures before all of this occurred. Who is the person in the video? He owes us an explaination as to whats going on here. Based off what I see and hear the title of this video does not reflect what we are seeing on the video.

Im with Graham and Nick on this. He says the son attacked him. At 1:15 or so the son admits he only reached for his phone and the canvaser agrees he only grabbed for his phone. So which is it? Did he attack you or reach for your phone? Around the same time he admits to punching the son. Im surprised a lawyer added a comment to this video. The lawyer either didnt watch the video or collectively they set this all up.
