I try to mostly use ambient music to create a relaxing experience and am wary of most non copyright music described as ‘scottish’ as it often sounds trite or stereotypical. I personally think the music works well, but obviously everyone’s musical taste is different. Thank you for engaging with the channel.

@@elizabethwu8668 thank you for your lovely comment. I’m pleased you enjoyed the video. We used Staffa Tours and the CalMac ferry from Oban to Craignure on Mull was included as part of the ticket. Their tour boat then went from Tobermory on Mull. They also sail from Fionnphort on Mull which is much closer to Staffa, so you may get to spend more time on the islands if your trip goes from there. The journey from Craignure to Fionnphort also has nicer scenery than to Tobermory in my view and you are near the Isle of Iona there if you wanted to visit there too (recommended). The puffins are there between May and August, so that is the best time to visit. At Lunga, there was a floating gangway waiting at the island and the tour team collected that and helped passengers use that to get onto the island. It is still quite difficult to get on and off the island, though, as the way to the path is rocky and uneven. I hope if you go there, that you enjoy your trip as much as we did. 😀

Thank you for this fascinating comment, Gail. We didn’t seem to be able to visit Cara on the day, but would love to one day. Do you have a link to some info on your ancestors? I couldn’t find anything in a quick google search just now. One of my other videos, the North Knapdale film includes a link to an article about the village of Arichonan and the resistance to the clearance of the residents, one of whom was Neil Macmillan, whose carved name in a stone in his dwelling can be seen today, though we didn’t find that on our visit.
