That's an awesome setup. I like the Omega holders, good for bass or hybrids. Heck no for those giant mutant cats down in your area. Your stealth holders are made for those freaks of nature. I like your channel cause it's a multi-species fishing kayak channel, not just bass.

My biggest catfish was on a cane pole had no scale my best guess is it was around 14 to 16 pounds

Hey hell yea brother I caught a big blue cat last year off that same building. It’s such a cool spot. kayaked out there and spent the night on it fishing landed a 30 plus pound blue that was 40 inches off the roof on the far side fishing my baits suspended straight down. Also caught an American eel i wound up using for bait earlier in the night out there. My dad and our buddy also caught quite a few cats under that 20 pond mark that same night. It’s a magical location that’s for sure

Have always liked your setup. You’ve really put some great thought into your rig. The Unlimited is definitely on my list for this year’s purchase. I’ve always wanted to place my sonar unit front like you have it. Do you find it a pain in the ass to reach to every time you want to mark a waypoint or change screens options rather than having it closer on the left or right?

Great idea for a video and I'm sure it will be very helpful to many. I had the same experience with a 30lb minnkota on a Kayak. The APC 10 x 8 added a full 1mph (minimum) to my speed over the stock prop and the 14 slowed me down too. Also it is much cheaper than a stock prop. Even after I've hit some stumps it is holding up great after 2 years. Can't beat their price so I keep a couple spares on the kayak. Maybe the manufacturers should look into this.

I've not gotten a bite in the winter, but I see plenty of anglers pulling Muskie out of the river around me. They're definitely still biting!

I've got a good $250 at the bottom of the Kaskaskia River. Rough water spun me and sent me sideways into a branch ~3in under the surface. Into the water losing a modest tackle box, 2 combos, ear buds, a lantern, and finally... the paddle. Luckily was only about 30mins float from my designated departure point.

Nice video brother! Up here in Ohio, as you know, fishing in the winter sucks. My rod eyes freeze up every 3rd cast. Have to use spinning due to baitcasters freeze up. The lakes are lowered too much. Some lakes are frozen, and some are not. I try to get out to the spillways for saugeye. Ross county was level 3 last Monday from the snowstorm. All and all, I'm trying to get outside and fish period.

How much track does it need?

I don't mind it when it's in the 40's but will wait till it warms up if it's any colder than that.

I've lost more stuff than I want to talk about and I won't carry an expensive rod and reel. I had a buddy flip a kayak in the surf and lose enough tackle that he gave up kayaking.
