Recently went from narrows to mrtyle. Was good fishing
I've kayaked the Current 3 times now, but have not done Jack's, would LOVE to do. upper Jacks someday. This stretch looks pretty peaceful too. Water looks high?
We’ve done all the current from cedar grove to big spring. To me the best section of jacks is above alley spring but you have to do it early in the year. Probably by the end of May. When we did buck hollow to alley spring it was up enough but probably wouldn’t want to do it any lower than when went.
Best channel on youtube
I believe about 8 miles
How far is that
new sub good stuff
Thanks! I appreciate it. I really just do videos for myself, family and friends to enjoy. It’s also good for other people looking to do some of the same stuff we do. Glad you enjoyed it.
How was floating the riffles on the river in a Kayak? I am wanting to take my kids. Any real dicey spots?
Halls bay near riverton landing is a little drop with whitewater. You’ll probably enjoy that. Nothing really dangerous. I would say the trees down in the river are more dangerous. Just stay away from the downed trees and you should be fine.
@@donaldpresley4536 sweet! Thank you so much! We're trying to check it off our trout slam.
How long did it take y'all that time?
Oh me that’s been a while. I believe it was about 12-14 hours float time. You can pretty much count on 2-3 mph with kayaks if you don’t stop a lot. It’s a beautiful scenic section.
What happened with the fawn?
It just went on down a ways and got out.
The Eleven Point may be my favorite river in The World...Been canoeing there most of my life. Can't wait to get back :)
Once, we floated the Jack Fork, and were out looking for wod for our fire and found a LOT of cut and split oak. We took a lot of the wood back to our campsite and make some of thje best steaks ever with it! YUM. That friend turned out not to be a friend at all, but a Narcissistic Personality Disorder sufferer who hates me now for correctly diagnosing him with his mental health disorder. Right Bryan? ROFL
You're still alive and kicking Kuthe? You just up and disappeared.
I love living here the best!
Love your family videos!! Want 2 go
Thanks for watching. Just load up and go.
Great video, thank you for sharing these places. Keep it up!
Less music, more nature sound would be better lmo.
I also have an Ascend H12. My only problem on the Jacks was hitting rocks under the water. When I’d hit them in that kayak, it was like hitting a brick wall rather than sliding over them like in my Perception. I can pack way more stuff in my Ascend though! Have you floated the Eleven Point yet?
Yes, we’ve done it a few times. I have a few videos of that river too. We do like our h12 for camping.
Beautiful river. Have not floated it yet. I need to fix that.
Try The North Fork of The White as well. Just as good but lesser camping options
Was the water cold? Beautiful place to camp and swim 😊
About like the current but there are less gravel bars to camp and swim on.
Wow… beautiful area . Thank you for sharing your video. New subscriber here 😊
That looks like a fun trip.
Yes, that is a nice river. Not near as crowded as the current and jacks fork but not as many gravel bars to camp on. It has several float camps though. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Missouri is so beautiful, I wish I was able to spend more time there last year 😊 Beautiful video 😊
Yes, it is! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video.
Just a beautiful set or Rivers down there. The only river I’ve been on that has better bluffs and is deeper cut, is the Buffalo River Arkansas. However, that being said, I do prefer the Current and Jack’s Fork, slightly.
Yes they are hard to beat. I’d like to try the buffalo at some point.
@@donaldpresley4536 We visited the Buck Hollow access point a couple weeks ago, so beautiful but probably too low at this time to float it. What gauge site are you using for the 1.8, just out of curiosity? I was using RiverApp and USGS Waterdata but wasn't sure which gauge. There's Jack's Fork near Mountain View and Jack's Fork near Alley?
I believe it was usgs water data Mountain View
You wouldn’t want to do it much lower than that I don’t think
Looks like a great time! Can't wait to get back down there for another trip myself.
Beautiful!
Very nice river & deep it's looks clear thank you for sharing us this beautiful video 💕🎶
Ty for posting your float trip! Love watching these videos. I'll be making one of my own next week on the White River! Cheers!
It's a great day to be alive & be in Shannon County Missouri.
Beautiful place!
That's it. You've convinced me, we're doing Akers to Pulltite instead of Alley SPring to Eminence. Plus Cave Spring sounds amazing. Do you remember the area is where you camped?
Not really but there are several good areas to camp on that stretch. Have fun and be safe!

Lol
Great adventure!!! Thanks for sharing. You use to race bikes back in the day, I believe. This was your style of riding. Great job!
Thanks! We had a blast!
Looks like a good family float from Alley to Eminence. We are looking at doing this or Akers Ferry to Pulltite on the Current. Have you done both?
We prefer Akers to pulltite but both are good. Alley to eminence is probably not as pretty and probably more crowded as well. Akers to pulltite is busy too but I think people can spread out better on the current than the jacks fork. We did that trip actually on Labor Day weekend.
@@donaldpresley4536 I’ve heard a lot of people say that Akers to Pulltite is the best stretch on the Current. It’s just harder to find lodging up there.
@@natesambo9759 echo bluff is near there and super nice. The outfitters will pick you up and drop you off there too.
@@donaldpresley4536 We ended up floating Akers to Pulltite the first week of August, and the whole family loved it, especially Cave Spring but just beautiful in general. Only one drawback was, we stayed in Jack's Fork River Cabins in Eminence, which was great because we stayed on the bluff so the view was spectacular (you float right past it in this video), but the drive to and back from Pulltite takes a good 30 minutes, that's the one big drawback. I think now that we've seen that section from Akers to Pulltite, we're going to do Pulltite to Round Spring next, which cuts the drive back to Eminence to 15 minutes. The Echo Bluff park was all booked by the time we were trying to plan this. Really, if you're staying in Eminence, the Alley Spring to Eminence is easily the most convenient and it still looks pretty nice. The scenery looks very similar, and Akers to Pulltite was crowded as well, not crazy crowded, but pretty busy even on a Thursday.
Beautiful scenery and a great job with the GoPro! It looks like a great way to relax.
Thanks! Maybe y’all can come with us sometime.
Alley Springs is my happy spot.
Floating this exact trip in a couple weeks, it’s one of the best rivers out there
Yes and Halls Bay is no joke.
