I had the privilege to see this show several times, and yet I still come back and watch this show to this day! My older sister performed in this show, and I remember thinking the girl falling in the water was on accident the first time I saw this 😂 I didn’t quite understand what it took to be in guard when I was younger, but I definitely can appreciate this show now that I understand how difficult it is to be on time with the people around you. Truly one of the best shows ever! 💜

ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SHOWS EVER! You guys rocked this show, it's breathtaking! I miss guard desperately, this was my age out year with CNU...love you guys, all of ya! Independent A was such a great class to compete in, and guard is an amazing sport- I remember this year a bunch of CNU and JMU guardies were getting ready in the bathroom at the same time (sure it happened other times, I guess the difference was that no one but peeps from our guard happened to be there?) but we laughed at how people always picture such a bitter rivalry between our two schools, and sure we all want to place, and it was always fun to score higher and some seasons we played back and forth and it was a fun nervousness to hope to pull out ahead, and I would never take for granted when we placed at champs, I was elated to get third that year and I can't imagine how amazing it was to get first, and well done, for realzies! This show truly is breathtaking. every. single. time! How did you guys place at WGI? Our memory is such a funny thing, because I hadn't thought about scores when I saw this, just how amazing it was to be able to see you guys perform this live, and all the feelings that came with the season and our own show, etc, and how the experience is what always holds in your heart (pun not intended, haha, though I would like to think I'm that clever)...That's what stays forever in your mind. I'm so grateful to have been blessed with the ability to march- physically, emotionally, academically, logistically, and all the other hurdles one must face to have such a wonderful opportunity. It was honestly wonderful competing against y'all, and what an impressive show (along with the second place) to have been beaten by, I enjoyed every second of it. Genuinely and truly. Thanks, loves! This is one of those shows that still have that emotional impression years later, before I saw more than the video preview even! *GUARDIE HUGS FROM A CNU GUARD ALUMNI* :-D

At the last show. but for the local competitions we were getting second to them

CVP got second to us, and CNU third, both of which are fantastic guards and have fantastic people :) Man I miss doing this show, cant wait till next year!

Being an MRD i, myself, do not think this was a spectacular show. It is a little boring. But, I'm sure we played this to our best ability, despite its blandness. The MRD's as a whole tries to to be impressively concise in all the dimensions of marching. However, we do not try to be absolutely perfect like a band such as the DCI. However, we are perfect at energizing our audience. We also place special emphasis on making our music sound amazing. Thats my take from the real deal!

@RockBoulevardz Wait a minute. I have not posted anything rude. I havent called anyone any names. When I get rude and negative it will be laced with profanity and we are not there and I hope we dont get there. So dont accuse me of being rude yet. Lets keep it civil. I like to compare the performances against bands of equal or near equal size. I also like to see if a performance will make me say wow. This does not do that.

@RockBoulevardz Jealous? Of what? Am I jealous of this uninspiring performance? Jealous of their size and sound? I'm missing the jealous designation. This performance would have been the perfect time to go to the concession stands. But I wont take anything from the students, they do their best.
