I like that phrase , faces , bases, and shields. I always spend the more time on the face than anything else on the miniature .

good stuff man! I always love seeing the old fantasy artwork! i've got to admit, my favourites still have to be the old metal plaguebearers. So many interesting poses and sculps!

Great Call! But then the whole original Realm of Chaos range was awesome, from the deamons to the chaos warriors I think a little dive in on that whole lot needs to be done in future.

Never managed to play WFB now OW myself, but it has a great sense of nostalgia attached. The old sculps for me have a great deal of character and it's great to see them again! Happy memories of a lot of them. I will always love the Oldhammer stuff!

Didn't know you had a channel, dude!! Subbed and looking forward to more.I'm still high on WW2, but I've found myself being drawn towards WFB yet again ( I even was rooting through my old GW bits box and found some glorious 5th ed. stuff). Might have to showcase my Khorne army from 7th ed.

For me it’s 2 things cost and color. I have P3 line because I used to work for Privateer Press and I got my paints at a highly discounted price . P3 has excellent coverage and has been pretty consistent. I will be honest the early metallics where not good. There was a lot is separation problems and keeping them mixed was a chore if you did not paint consistently . Another brand is Americana paints . You might see these in arts and crafts stores here in North America I’ll be honest I’m not sure if you can get these in Europe. The cost on these paints are low the last time I bought some was about 4-5 years ago. $2.25 for a 2oz bottle. That’s a great deal in any one book. The best part about these two paint lines is they last a long time. For example after leaving Privateer Press I didn’t touch my paint for about 3 year . When I picked up a brush again I thought I’m going to have to buy all new paints again. All it took was a few shakes ( I’m not exaggerating) and they came back to life. That’s both the P3 and the Americana that’s right the cheap and moderate priced paints where fine. I have purchased the other brands you mentioned and I’ll be honest I only have a few bottles of those brands. They where good . Good coverage I loved the colors that I bought but after sitting on the shelf not being used I noticed that they separated and was a lot harder to bring them back to life again and a couple I had to take off the lids and mix with a stirring stick. A new paint line that just came out a year or two ago is Two Thin Coats the one thing I like about them is for every color there is 3 shades a dark, a medium, and a light. Perfect for shading and tinting without thinking. I’ll be honest with you I will continue to paint and buy P3 paints even if that means I am now paying full retail as well as Americana .

I am going to say that if it was not for John’s influence on 40K I probably wouldn’t have played the game. His dystopian gothic future is what sold me on the game to be honest. I’m surprised you didn’t mention Rat Spike a book that John and Ian Miller co collaborated on . John has been a huge influence on Games Workshop and we all owe him a dept of gratitude.

Old sculpts are great but if old sculpts are coming back I hope they are not in the same pose. I say this only because if you have old hammer models from the 80’s they are classics and collectible. If I see a old model I want to know that it’s not a new plastic to look like the old models. Do you know what I mean?

Absolutely matey, I can't see them being that same as a lot of the casts were sold to foundry miniatures, but maybe stuff with an old school flavour.

Games Workshop should totally hold a retirement event for John, a reprint of his playing card set (distinguishable from the original to maintain the collector value of the original set if necessary) and a set of his most iconic art as prints almost seems mandatory. At this date since his retirement their hasn't yet been a commemorative event, and I'd be disappointed if GW didn't capitalise on his contribution to and fanatic following in the Warhammer Fantasy/30k/40k community.
