Man I would like to know why Guy player one can perform combos which can't be possible in player two ? Why guy in playstation 01 , on player 1 , has combos with qcf klink HK ➠ HP works , but I tried in some arcade versions then don't work ? Do has another version different than psone which this combo works ?

Oh wow I didn't know that Maki's standing four-hit chain combo could be linked into her Teshinho super. I've been playing the MAX version of SFA3 the past two weeks and every day I'm still learning new things, I just learned yesterday that Eagle's... St. Andrew's Green special (his golf or cricket looking swing special) deflects non-super projectiles similar to Rose's special, i thought it was just to swing and hit opponents lol. Also prob the coolest thing is learning that Juni/Juli each have a health recharge and -ism meter recharge specials when played together in Dramatic battle, along with a unique level 3 super.

i was discussing with my friend why HSFA has not seen much competitive play or exploration, and this video has basically confirmed to me (after hours of finding nothing on the SRK forums) that the reason isn't lack of arcade perfection, but the fact that emulating ps2, and particularly this game has been a struggle until recent years. playing on ps2 and having converters on hand would have been a massive hassle, i'd imagine, and the fact that emulation was not possible definitely explains why HSFA remains obscure for the most part. SFAA is one of few unique ps2 games that require software rendering as opposed to hardware rendering to emulate, and PCSX2 has only recently become advanced enough to run that kind of emulation until recent builds (1.7.0 and up). this is something i've kept up with over the past 6 years or so since i haven't had a PS2 to play my copy of the game since 2016. thanks for confirming that this game runs arcade perfect on PS2. it is something i suspected as i never felt any differences playing Alpha3 on FBA vs PS2. you've definitely earned my sub! with that being said, i found that the steam deck can, on the surface, perfectly run Alpha Anthology with no lag, stutter, or issues. what i cannot answer is the following: can PCSX2 emulate this game perfectly as if it was running on actual hardware such that emulating it on PC can be viable for competitive play? i'm curious on what the competitive community thinks about HSFA getting a revival now that just about anyone with a PC from the past 3 years can effortlessly emulate the PS2 Alpha/Zero collection on PC, and the possibility for implementing netplay through fightcade is not 0%. a man can dream that the "ultimate" version of his favorite SF game growing up can actually see some competitive play and exploration.

Phew this is old! Was a complete fighting game casual when this game came out. Any tips on cancelling normals into super combos? Tips on this game are hard to find. Can't get Karin's light attacks into super combo in A-ism. Been trying off and on for months.

This is pretty good! I disliked Ingrid very much when I learned about her being "the source of Psycho-Power" or something but I really turned around when I saw her playstyle.
