@@architecturedesignedu Percy brown clearly mentions chalukyas art architecture if aihole is the cradle of Indian temple architecture, mentions badami aihole pattadkal are the centers of indian art architecture, most of the temples in southeast asia are built in chalukyas style as per many art historians including him, badmi Chalukyas architecture starts from 4th century to 8th century. Their architecture spread to pallavas, their architecture copied by eastern,western,northern india also, their different style of architectures spread into different parts of india & later distinguished into different regional names.

This short depicts the broad classification of Dravidian Style of Hindu Temples which forms a part of the evolution of Indian Temple architecture. Exact excerpts from Indian Architecture (Buddhist and Hindu period ) by Percy Brown, page 77. "This southern type of architecture, it has been found convenient to resolve into five periods, corresponding to the five principal kingdoms which ruled in the south of India during the course of its evolution. These are as follows : (1) Pal lava (A.D. 600-900) ; (2) Chola (900-1150) ; (3) Pandya (1100-1350) ; (4) Vijayanagar (1350-1565) ; (5) Madura (from 1600). A good question. In Sikander Lodi tomb built earlier, one can find the double dome. Humayun's tomb not the first example of it.
