I have a one 12 with the gt-12 speaker. they do sound good. I have 4 extra gt-12's as back up. I have a few 4-12 cabs with the old HE-12 speakers. I love those as well. Carvin made good stuff that last forever.

I have the identical cabinet with one difference, mine is permanently open back with no option to go close back. It’s the loudest ballsiest 2x12 I have played through. Which has me confused, because I think the GT12 speakers should be similar to the Eminence Governor speakers, which in turn should be similar to Vintage 30s, which in the end would live best in a closed back cabinet?

it's not plywood, it's solid poplar, which is fine, anything beats particle board, the speakers are made by Celestion for Carvin, they are 16 ohm G12K-100's, they work very well with tube amps with lots of headroom

I couldn't possibly say much more than has already been said for the MXL770 (I do wish more would include the model they are reviewing since Amazon clumps three different MXL mic reviews together), besides.. it's a five star product for me. clipping is when The audio Dbs are to high and audio limiting is applied that ruins the chops up the words being said , that did not happen , you guys are talking about limiting in between speaking which is completely normal in a condenser mic

I have a Marshall Plexi 100watt Superlead and it's ungodly loud, but it's a tone-beast. I use a Rivera Rock Crusher for attenuation, and it works beautifully...have to have one for a non-master volume amp. Truth be told, great tone makes one want to play more/practice more, and will keep one thinking about their rig when they're not around it...like a girlfriend does...
