Hello, thank you for commenting. Here is something to check: for the toggle switch, make sure that the wiring was done correctly. Its possible that if wired wrong, the toggle switch probably shorted out or the motor shorted out. Maybe this is why changing the carbon filters did not work.

thanks! the process is easy, but your video helped me realize that it's not an m2 SSD that I'm looking for, but rather an msata. (my laptop has the small battery and an conventional ssd 2.5" right next to it. Planning to upgrade to the 91wh batt - so I need to move to msata drive.

Thank you for commenting, I tried the hot air procedure and it did not resolve it. I will try to post the video later this week or early next month.
You can first open the back and reclean the touch panel, then using hot air focus on the cable connection between touch panel and board. Finally, repeat turn off and using finger to touch screen, if it turn on, using two finger try touch at crosses fast. I tried and success at least 2 times

@@vungqueitHi! I have two Classpad 330 and they are in storage both because of the same problem, the touchscreen does not work. I tried the hot air method but focusing on the touchscreen part of the screen, not the cable, I will try this method when I get the calculators back from storage (it will take a long time). Thank you for the tip!
Important: after you can power on by touching using finger (not using on/off button), try pressing some position around the cross (not at cross) , if it turn grayed and you're done, let finish all left cross. If screen not turn on by touching, try check cable between touch panel and main board first (you must disassemble back cover). Sorry for my English skill

Greetings. I found the guts, but ... I seem to have done something wrong since the max volume on both the earpiece and the speaker is far lower than it was prior to the operation. Is this a sign that I damaged something taking the thing apart? The antenna, perhaps? In any event, if you would care to give me some ideas I'd be grateful.

If you have to tap the display for it to work, then there might be a loose connection. The connection on the display itself might be loose.

@@raht3ch Sounds fine. And I'm still glad you made the video since I have the same model with an apparently hosed CPU. I now know for sure that the i5-430M is socketed, what I still need to know is what chips are known compatible not just hardware wise but also BIOS wise (Some companies whitelist certain replacement parts, such as wifi cards. I have an HP DV7 with an awful wifi card and I can't replace it because the only cards HP allows are pure junk. If you use one not in the whitelist, the bios halts bootup. I don't know if Sony ever did the same for wifi cards or CPU's.
@@rontroy3843 Got it. From my experience, I tried upgrading the CPU before on it (I used an i7-740QM, it didn't work, since it needs 45Watts from the CPU Socket to power it. This laptop is limited to 35W processors). A safe route might be to get an i5-460m (since they are less than $20 on eBay) or to get a CPU that may support the same chipset (I have not found the documentation for what chipset that vaio laptop has)
@@raht3ch There is a list of I5's and I7's at least up to the I7-640m that are 35 W / TDP, G1 /888 sockets, Arrandale architecture. I'd be concerned with a used CPU given that it might already be hosed. I wouldn't mind speeding up the laptop a bit, though it wouldn't be that much. Unit has a BD drive, nearly brand new HD, bigger and faster than the one that died.
Alright. In that case, it might be worth the risk of buying another i5-430m and see if it works, since they are not that expensive. As it might be difficult and/or expensive to get a new CPU from that series

Hello again, I have performed 6 tests using Cinebench R15. These were done on a Dell Precision m6700 (Same CPU as the M4700, which is an i7-3840QM) and the average for the first 3 tests was 460cb, while the average for the last 3 tests was 500 ***Note 3 of these tests were done shortly after logging in to the laptop, the last 3 tests were performed after laptop loaded startup programs, with airplane mode on ***
@@raht3ch Such interesting results. I got an M4700 with 3740QM, with same cinebench version it reaches 620 CB. I was looking for upgrade my CPU, I think you'd probably run those test with battery saver mode on.

If you are using an electronic tuner you must always finish by tuning the guitar to itself. By that, I mean use the electronic tuner as a first step, and then tune the "old fashioned way" to get it close, and finish up by playing several different chords. I prefer to use E, A, D, and C. (1st position) You will never get all of them perfect, if you get one perfect, the next one will be off etc. The goal is to get them all as close to in tune as possible without knocking the others way out of tune. I'm sure you know this, but this is for anyone else who may not understand that electronic tuners only provide the first step because the guitar is an imperfect instrument. Of coarse, if you play up the neck, you also make sure it is as close to in tune there also using harmonics or octaves etc. Good luck!
