How Much Rope
Просмотров 4,7 тыс.2 года назад
How Much Rope ? I wrote this song as part of a group of songs that will, at some point, become an album. It's about the struggles we all face, especially the last few years which have been brutal, and how much we can all take before it's too much. Featuring @guitarmanjb alongside me on acoustic guitar and harmonies. Thanks man. How Much Rope ? How much rope does any man need ? To pull himself o...
How Much Rope - New Song Demo

The last two years have been incredibly difficult for everyone. We've all been through our share of struggles and pain. This song is dedicated to all those who have asked the question, "How much more can I take" ? How Much Rope: How much rope does any man need ? To pull himself out of a fire ? And how much fire can any man stand ? Is a question to answer indeed. The questions are hard, but ther...

Pompadour

Dedicated to Amy Winehouse. Your leaving hit me hard My little Roman candle You said “It’s just a song, ‘Stand by your Man’ “, then you ran Hold me like a handle I argue with the dead I shout at the TV I loved you and you loved me You gave everything you had, and more In your Pompadour There’s a cold place inside of me Every night and day Makes me want to follow you But were we given this life ...
Inspiration for "Pompadour", Tribute to Amy Winehouse by McNally Waters.

🎉🎉🎉❤👏👏👏
Bravo!!!!🎉 I like it!❤❤❤❤
Smooth… Beautiful chord progressions all the way through 👏🏻👏🏻
YOUR SONG IS FANTASTIC CONGRATULATIONS
Beautiful
I would love to learn this so much, but I am a violinist, I am not very good at piano. Very beautiful, Mr. Waters.
Hi there, I do give lessons, so please let me know if you'd like me to teach you!
@@HarryWatersmusicI would love for you to teach me, but I don't think it can happen, I probably live too far away and I can't really afford it at the moment. I really, really appreciate the offer though.
well done
"Look mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky"
this is how silly one can be: I watched this video and I thought: "wow, this lad certainly likes Pink Floyd as much as I do, as he knows every single note to this song... even the ones that go unwritten in the songbooks..." Then I decided to read the comments and the penny dropped... you´re Harry Waters... "the" Harry Waters.... wonderful video, thanks for sharing, and I´d never realised how profoundly you´d dived into your father´s music! just Fantastic!
There are moments when nothing is more touching than seeing the child of a legendary musician perform his father’s songs. But living under the shadow of greatness must be really hard; you need to remain loyal to your legacy and, at the same time, shape yourself as an individual. It's this that gives emotion to every note you play...
This song is heartbreaking even without the lyrics
Hey, can you put a tutorial out here by chance?
Hey there, I do give lessons! Let me know if you'd be interested.
@HarryWatersmusic I'd soo be down for that, the only thing is I am always busy and honestly very inconsistent 😅 I learned Vera on piano... that is such a short song, but it took me like a month to tackle 😅... I just wanna be able to play this for my dad, he's my everything and just getting older. It's a scary feeling really 😕 I'll go ahead and take the details though!
@@AmazinDeeds2312 Sounds good, email me on info@harrywaters.com and we can arrange.
Wow - fantastic job ! The Professor himself would be proud
The only song i know tjat sounds better on an out of tune piano than on a tuned one.
Really like this rendition, the tempo and some of the bluesy fills really give it a new feel. Such a beautiful progression by Richard Wright
Thank you for sharing, truly one of the most beautiful piano pieces out there.
Amazing 👏
I would agree that it takes a melody to make a particular film music truly memorable, but when I think of the music from "Shining" - does it have melody? Or perhaps it is more like a sound effect? Still, it is very memorable and evokes feelings (fear mostly). My other comment conserns what Oskar described as autonomous music, music for its own sake - great masterpieces have been created, where music was just for its own sake. And yet, it takes a much simpler piece ingeniously combined with lirics (which on their own would not be a great piece of literature) and the combination - a song - is so much greater than the sum of its parts. I think that film music also has something of this kind - the combination of the visual , the dramatic and the musical elements are what makes it special. Anyway, thank you for sharing a very interesting conversation.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fabulous!
Mr Waters and Mr Wright ❤
Nice work fellas
Wonderful
I like it! Maybe a little pedal steel and some gospel bg singers? Nice work!
#2 comment & like! Great video! Super Bowl 🏈 champ on the ⛱️! 😂🤠
Wow just discovered this song! I really love it. Well done, Harry.
Thank you!
Out standing 💯
Thanks!
I don't know much about you, but saw something about the hurt of being fired from the lineup. Harry, it is probably the best thing that could happen to you. Be grateful for the experience you had & all you have going for you, as most don't have 1% of that. Move forward, boy. You got this. Don't live in your father's shadow. He's him. You are you. Different people, different times. So hold your head up. Soldier on.
Thanks so much for the kind words. I feel the same way.
Das Spielen am Klavier ist gut, der Gesang weniger.
Que esperas para hacer una gira por el mundo mostrando esto y permitiéndonos a nosotros de paso disfrutar de tal sublimes interpretaciones….. SUBLIME 🙏🏻🇨🇱❤️
Thanks!

Harry, You are a very talented man.
You make Chiptune music?? You are so talented. I am a huge fan of Pink Floyd and your father's work. I love arcade games and this soundtrack slaps.
Thanks.
❤
Beautiful song and beautiful cover. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks.
Wait. I forgot to say, that Harry, your Dad, who I had the pleasure of hearing on my Pink Floyd albums then, and loved, surely passed down the talent genes to you! It left me breathless. Just beautiful. Thank you!
I was just sent this gift today, from Ali. He knew it was one of my very favorite Led songs, listening almost daily back in the day. I couldn’t believe it. The keyboards…and Derek, AMAZING! It was not only covered so incredibly fantastic by you all, but I could feel it deep in my soul. I’m sharing it with everyone… THANK YOU! ❤
Thank you so much!
Beautiful play! I really enjoyed listen to you !
Thanks, Harry! That how I've always heard this piece. HugS
Very nice.Sort of a jazz feel.
So amazing! From Brazil here!
That was beautiful. Dude, you are the best thing to ever happen to Frog Brigade. N that's sayin' a lot, you know damn well who played keys, etc. in that band before you did. I've seen & more importantly heard some footage from a few of the shows so far that were all absolutely fucking incredible. I can't fucking wait to see/hear you guys kill it live in person this weekend in Atlanta @ The Eastern. I'll see you on Saturday! 🤘😎 -
I was expecting the Matching Mole song lmao, good non the less!
That was perfect well done and thank you, you done your father proud
