Saturday’s of my childhood were watching Mid-South Wrestling. These old videos when kayfabe was king in wrestling were wrestlings golden age. As for as entertainment value, WWE can never touch Bill Watt’s Mid South Wrestling IMO.

I love the way they put it out there in the promos... They reinforce that it's just business, they reinforce the respect and the friendship... You really feel it's gonna be two of the good guys forced to get out there and try their best. And when the turn happens... It just hurts to see it. THAT is what wrestling is about, it doesn't have to be over the top, silly gimmicks, exploding tables, people that look like children doing choreographed gymnastics so that they can get extra stars from a deranged closeted faux journalist... Wrestling is about building a story within each match, and keeping all the lore in a territory connected. Mid South was a very special territory and it was one of those things that we should be glad we can still watch. Because as far as that perfect balance between believable competition, and emotional reactions to the in ring action... No one did it quite the way Mid South did. Fantastic stuff.
