Agreed. Still holds up decades later.
The only thing this game was ever really missing was 1) more power ups, and 2) mid-bosses to cap off each new level of suspects. Of course for point 1, that rocket launcher helped balance out the "armies of approaching enemies" gameplay difficulty, and point 2 made up for at the end by none other than the quarter-eating Mr. Big. NARC is still the OG "bad boy" of the arcade gaming industry. 😎❤

Looks like Sengoku 2 took a page out of this games play book with joinable characters. Too bad this was the last for Tatsumi, this could have been something good if they put more effort into it. But judging by the hit -boxes, misaligned sprites, some clunky animations and the basic combat system, anyone could the developer wasn't really invested in it. A shame really...

I was just playing this on my arcade one up and this does not look so bad. It was the first arcade I bought from them now I have or had a total of 22. I keep selling and rebuying. I’m not doing as much rebuying anymore.
