Hello Roger, I believe I have found a Stanley Spencer oil canvas, signed and dated 1907, Probably been in its spot on the wall since 1990, I'll put up a video of it tomorrow
love your paintings.
Wonderful. I am looking forward to sharing this with my teenage daughter who is on the way to emabarking upon her artistic journey.
🕶
Wonderful 📣📣📣📣
Curious whether either of you have come across Terrence Malick’s films…
Thank you and The Lord bless you for sharing. ✝
5:58 "Poetry, Painting, and Music are the ways in which we can approach the Sacred or the Divine."
pretty sure "schizophrenia" is a paranoid, old man rationalist that always says no.
you old guys tend to hate the dark women.
The interview with Jane Greenham is likely to be contested in court, since Eastgate Creative now faces complaints of charity fraud for forcing my departure from the film project, under false pretenses, and seizing all of the film production assets. I conducted the interview with Jane Greenham and hope to include it in a future film project.
It's such a pleasure to bask in the knowledge and insight delivered in this documentary. It's also such a relief to watch and listen to something that is beautifully paced and edited - thank you for sharing this with us.
thank you for this
Time, Space, Matter, Consciousness, Values, and a Sense of the Sacred.
Goodness, Beauty, and Truth
It's hard to believe that the convent couldn't pay to get her teeth fixed. I wouldn't appear in public looking like this.
Sister Wendy did not need to shout about her belief. She spoke it softly and calmly, and because of that it is more believable. I could listen to her for hours. I am not a Christian (though several have said that I am the most Christian person that they know because I lead a life in which the Christian tenets are foremost), but her words, even about a non-Christian work of art, always touched my heart. A lady who was both humble and great at the same time. Sadly missed. A National Treasure, though she was too modest to accept that.
Sister Wendy (1930-2018) was such a shining example of joy in Christ!
terrible dress sense though
Oh i used to watch sister Wendy religiously when I was little! Wonderful shows! I had been so long I had almost forgotten. Thank you for this gem!
What a lovely lady!
What lovely paintings!
One day ; I also hope my poetry jams a machine. There is justice in it.
Three is a crowd? Never, however, these two are a charm, grinning merely leaves out the image of a smile going too far and causing all sorts of aches and pains when one has to through mere decency leave the smile and carry on in normal demythologised life, for now.
@ 57:40 also to revivify the already created, I hope, or at least hope that I’m close or lukewarm
I saw the thumbnail and thought it was about the stages of the beard
Last month I saw the great west window at Winchester Cathedral, an homage to destruction and creativity and I remembered this: "Now the weapons and the destruction are the obvious things that you see. The counterparts are not so evident, and yet it is the counterparts that are important. The self-discipline learned, the control, the compassion that finally is aroused, and the final and last lesson learned, the positive desire for creativity and love over destruction and hatred. When this is learned the reincarnational cycle is finished."
Yes Ghibran Said " Rest in Reason - Move with Passion"
This is one of the happiest places on the internet
I don't have to opportunity to mix socially with intelligent humans, as these two. I therefore enjoy listening to them on YT. To some extent in restores my faith in humans as a species, although there is so much chaff amongst the wheat, would that it were not so.
As an engineering technician spending my working life fiddling with mechanisms and mechanistic concepts, it is absolutely fascinating listening to these three worthy gents who have inhabited a different world to my own.
I will be buying these books, thank you so much for your work! Blessings from Canada 🥰🍁🙏🏻
Does anyone else see the penis drawn at Christ's feet at 3:59 ?
I like Victor Hugo's poetry and I agree, Twitter did not invent graffiti! Our angry tiny egos fight against one another, yet Christ desires us to seek His grace of peace to settle wars by cutting fermenting words to the chase.
Which version of the Psalms do you pray, please?
I think Malcolm uses the Coverdale version in the Book of Common Prayer. I vary between that, and my own translation.
I have a picture of this awsome angel,if you would like to see it?
I saw a seraphim also😮,your amazing!
Just last week I had the pleasure of sharing a bit of time and space with Malcom, and as he spoke I thought “he *must* be aware of McGilchrist’s work!” Indeed he was, and what a delight to now come find this video. This is some of the most fertile conversational ground, I believe, for those at the nexus of the arts and the church. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for this poem and images. I am continually amazed how Christ turns the most horrific things into a doorway to the most wonderful things.
Definitely....The death of Art is a round, not a square......and not even the beauty of Mr Triangle.
'Promo SM' 💋
Brilliant! What a delight to end with Malcolm’s poem. What a giggle we all had with that one!
Have read ''It keeps me seeking''...A good read indeed.
thinking about wonder, I realized that the only things we wonder about are those deep relationships we have with what is around us. and the relationships that are there to begin with. and that when we took the wonder out of the world we build machines that eat the world. burn the world, make the world in the image of informatie. a bubbel of energy. we take all this technologie all these forces around us for granted. and once we lose the wonder of exploration creation we destroy the universe. for it is the wonder that created the window in the soul to see trough. but it was the trickster that looked over the shoulder of the wonderer and saw hey I could use that for something. and it turned something amazing profound in to something plain. while the plain and ordinary is not boring at all. its amazing. if I drink my cup of coffee it is for a bat pollinated a coffee plant. I have a direct relationship everyday with a bat. fucking amazing. but we do not value the bat for we say it is not in control of what it does. like we are.. he does not have any tricks on its sleeve. he did not tame electricity. but he can fricking fly, without a machine.. can we? and even comparing them like this does not make sense. for its not that he can fly like a skill he is flying. his being and flying are one. he is pollinating. does not think if he should or should not do. he is. what he is. are we?
I've seen them too...their Amazing
Great conversation .
Fascinating insights and a wonderful story .
New here, I just subscribed. Thank you for this lovely conversation, Roger ❤ I look forward to finding other conversations around these topics, especially with art.
Imagine imagining.
Very timely. Sounds as if it was written for our times 😲 Oh and - beautiful poem! I have to listen to it a few times. So full of prophetic hope.
