Bear Essentials is a unique Teddy Bear Shop and Visitor Centre in County Cavan. Part of the Cuilcagh Lakelands GEOPARK it is located in a beautiful area of West Cavan beside Brackley Lake and the pictures village of Bawnboy. It is also the only place where you can purchase the owners own handmade Irish Teddy Bears & Baby Essentials. Besides Steiff, Charlie Bears and other famous bears groups can also build their own bears. While you visiting bring a picnic to enjoy the garden, the little green houses or the magical playground. Not only the teddy bears are Made For Memories but so is your visit. Watch out for events during the year and join in for one of Bear Essentials Heritage days. We welcome school tours and tourist groups to provide teddy bear history talks and workshops.

I have a 35-year-old Carebear grumpy bear. I’m afraid to place them in the washing machine. What if anything can I do to attempt to restore him to as close to his original color as possible or at least give him regular cleanings

Nice to see an old tradition alive and kicking. I am from hamilton New Zealand and a retailer, called bear-makers, closed last year. My grandchildren loved going to that shop.

Hi there, I am making a teddy bear right now and have bought a screw in triangle shaped nose thing, but I can't continue unless I know how to put it in so I was wonder if you, or anyone knew how to make one?!
He looks pretty banged up.
This poor bear looks more like an animal mummy than a teddy. Seems like a better idea to just make one that looks like a new or lightly worn version of the original.
I started my collection with one I got for a gift and it want on from there
