Ramshackle Men - Money (Prosperity Partnership) full version
Steve got us all into a studio to record this song (and video) the lyrics were changed to recognise Steve's involvement in winning a large research grant at the University of Nottingham from the EPSRC Prosperity Partnership. The grant funds chemistry research into making the next generation of renewable surfactants for home care and personal care products (shampoos and conditioners). The idea is to make those surfacts from renewable materials and make them degradable. The work wil be carried out
across the Universities of Nottingham and York and with industrial partners Croda.
We had fun doing this :-) @ramshackle_Men

The Great Day - Rotherham United movie
Its testament to our brilliant keeper barota that it was kept down to only 6-0!!!!
Rotherham managed by Liverpool Great emlin Hughes
The legend of emlyn hughes
I was there at this game..we had a really good team then. UTM
I was their behind the goal middle pillow ! 16 years old ! Utm
I was at Oakwell that day the days before instant goal notifications and we were hearing Rotherham were losing while we’re winning 3-1 and getting a sniff of the title maybe. But the work had been done beating Rotherham to secure promotion. Fantastic season for both clubs with some players from both sides ( I think Ronnie Moore has forgiven us by now 😂) happy days
COURS!!
Plymouth Keeper not wearing gloves ?!?
The legendary emlin hughes of the greats of game
D-Day wasn't as tense this.
I was there Towner was unplayable
Jimmy Hill even tackled John Helm aside crashing to the floor, then the Doog & Bob Wilson scuffle over the spare chair. Blimey!
Awful racist abuse by the Rotherham fans towards Bob Hazel. Small club mentality.
Really you uneducated small minded person so bigger clubs didn't have racists , obviously your looking through rose tinted spectacles or your half a brain cell consists of shit , didn't matter that the soft southern QPR got turned over , and yep Rotherham are still doing 41 years later in the championship
Thankyou Emlyn and the rest of the #rufc team, what a season.
Lisa's husband, Andy here. I'm a Barnsley fan and for a few seasons in the early eighties The Reds and Millers terrified the Sheffield clubs and our derby games were spectacular. Some we won, some you won. These times were my favourite following Barnsley and even though you guys were rivals, I always look out for your results and wish you well because of those times (except when you play us of course). At the game at Oakwell that season, I interrupted a conversation between Norman Hunter and Emlyn Hughes and asked for their autographs. Both obliged, they were both lovely to myself as a kid and then Emlyn got Ronnie Moore to take my book into dressing rooms to get all the Millers autographs. RIP Norman and Emlyn, you were both great players, managers and people. 👍
Few blades on show here
Rotherham also beat them 4-1 at Stamford Bridge that season.
Remember it well, our painted hastily painted bed sheet done that morning is clearly seen at 31:32….31:44…….such memories, BEN, HAMMY, WILLIE……RUFC R CHAMPS….still follow the millers although via internet/ you tube these days living in Aus.
Snivelling Hughes again
Great match
Chelsea's keeper Borota epitomized those who attain 'cult' status at big clubs i.e. clearly talented but several sarnies short of a picnic. John Helm is probably my favourite football commentator ever.
Narrator sounds more like Rodney Bewes than Rodney Bewes
Rest in Peace Emlyn
One band, four different tempos. Most impressive.
Where do these guys play gigs? I'd like to witness this live
Fantastic memories who could ever forget Ada? And recognised the tea ladies! but the overriding memory? the atmosphere, totally amazing!!
Hell of a mix-and-match kit in there from Plymouth.
They should play this song at games now.
1st Like After 2 Years
1st Like After A Year
Just came across this.....fantastic
Never a sending off.
Comunism îs this 🤣🤣
I was twelve. I can remember looking over my shoulder to see my granddad trying to keep up as I raced across the pitch to the dugout. I never knew this existed till today, and it's like watching a dream on film. Magical. p.s. Still got my autographed copy of Millermen, and my 80-81 scarf. And my 80-81 tankard, comes out only for special celebrations. As Frank sings, 'It was a very good year'. ;)
I met John Helm once when he was walking from his hotel to the Dell to do a world feed commentary. Very friendly to talk too and very tall
I met him at Boundary Park - charming fellow. Encyclopedic memory of games and the voice of some iconic moments in football.
What a player Towner was.
Typical ITV camera work! They missed the most important incident of the whole game.
I'd love to see the episode of World in Action about Anton Johnson and his simultaneous interest in Rotherham & Southend United
Yeah, dodgy bastard, but he was always bang on with the fans. Reminded me of Terry Thomas the first time I met him though (not a good sign!)
Robin banks.
Great memories! What a good signing rod fern was for the millers! Halcyon days long gone, i miss millmoor yeah we have new york stadium but it will never beat ramshackle old millmoor.
It was Rotherham's greatest, team from the moment Towner ran down that right wing and whipped one over to Moore. Fern's rockets were the icing.
i was there
Ian Portfield and Paul stancliffe ended up at Sheffield united
I was there that day wot a day 22 i was two questions to ask who was the person that kept blowing that horn when the opposition took a throw in a free kick etc i thought it was the late keith gleeson and somebody else said it was another mate of mine pete douglas known as duggie i just cant remember not seen the latter since mid 80s and who was the guy in the bright red jumper think he was going in the sponcers end and i am sure in later years stood next to me
Millers No. 7 Towner described as an outside right by commentator before cross for 5th goal (right winger)
I remember this game well sat with my gran as a young lad in the family stand. I think it was first ever Rotherham game.
In splendid-ish isolation through the Coronavirus. Taking lots of time to go through RUclips and then this classic pops up. Watched it twice in two days and it's a comedy gold! The best positioning all game was the ref at the end, being a foot from the tunnel. A quick peep and he was gone. What the commentator lacks in commentating he more than makes up for with his wit. Almost 40 minutes of hilarity. Thanks for this gem.
How come the linesmen are taking the right back's sides of the pitch?
Fantastic memories, was 18 at the time! Halcyon days which are long gone but shall live with me for the rest of my days
Wow. So ace. Thank you. UTM. Teenage memories for me. Thank god we still have a club.
Love the stretcher like a single bedstead
Love time capsules like this. I don't think The Millers lasted more than a couple of season before relegation? This is the season we got relegated to the 4th Division. Best thing to happen to us at the time though none of us knew it of course.
They should have gone up to D1 in '82.
