I am a teacher. Our school was having a Fall Scarecrow Contest between staff. I went into a Goodwill in Hinesville, GA and asked if they had a pair of old jeans and a old shirt I could have to make a scarecrow. A Goodwill employee told me coldly, "I don't think so, nope. We can't give you anything". I reminded her that everything here was donated. I asked again, "Don't you have some old clothes I could have?" She asked me to leave.......Only later did I learn about the HUGE dumpster behind the store in which they tossed out tons of donated clothing that the employees deemed unsellable. Only later did I learn about Goodwill regional managers earning several hundred thousand in salaries from our donated items. NEVER DONATE TO GOODWILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
