I didn’t beat the whole thing. I am on the side of players that care most about gameplay. So the problems with the combat were just too much for me to stick through.

Yeah, that’s the main thing. If you play nothing but soulslikes it’s probably worth fitting it in somewhere. But, unfortunately, I can’t in good conscience recommend people spend their limited time on something they may not enjoy.

Yeah. I have been enjoying it. But it is hard to understand if you are coming as an outsider. I also did see a training area. But I am sure that will be in the full release.

@@MattackGaming I originally got into MH playing MHP3rd which funnilly only released in Japan. And it was way more simple. Definetly less QoL, but there really wasn't that many different mechanics so it was very easy to get into anyway. The weapon move sets were also way simpler. With Longsword for example you only basically used one button spam to increase your gauge and you tried to keep it high for increased damage. But now, you have all kinds of ways to increase your gauge, many ways to spend it and all kind of counters, combos and whatnot.

@@Ilikebeatzzz I think that the depth of the combat and the fact that there is so much to learn is awesome. But I like deep games that take work. That's why I enjoy souls games so much. But I can definitely see how that would be a turn off for many.

Yeah, Elden Ring is a fairly good starting point. The only bad thing about starting with Elden Ring is it can feel pretty rough when you go back and all the quality of life stuff is gone. Especially the jump button! 🤣
